The Shred evo is quite a bit superior IMO... Especially when you consider that most people (especially our friends) always have proper armor mitigation factored into their builds. The only people you would be helping would be the dumbest of pugs

Talon is a tough kit.. but not appreciated. I would have two guides.. a cain mine build guide and a bow/cain mine guide with a video. But no point thread will get flamed

Of course it will get flamed but who gives a F***... When I wrote the Collecter adept, Cabal, and Juggy guides I didn't care about any flaming. You know how many Juggy morons criticized me for saying to stop heavy meleeing all the time and start killing things? Lots of them. Same with the Cabal and the 'skip Poison Strike' idiots... same with the 'skip Dark Sphere and pack a PPR' crowd.

You write guides for those that appreciate the knowledge, those that want to learn. I for one would be very interested in your guide. I was also happy to read what Argent wrote. Believe it or not, most of the feedback is positive... I used to get random messages every couple weeks from some newbie that found one of my old guides until lolBSN shut down the message system. Do it Zae.. do it for me

 Argent, thanks for making the guide.  If I'm not mistaken...you don't have an e-peen, but rather an e-****** (not trying to be crass...just stating a fact) .  I respeced my Talon yesterday after reading your guide and thoroughly enjoyed it.  It's a great alternative to the Cain Mine spam.  Thanks, and try to zone out the haters.

I have to agree with mega, doesn't matter if some people are jerks about the stuff you wrote. There will always people appreciating the time, effort & knowledge, even if they might not be as vocal about it.

I would've never thought that my Venom guide would interest more than a handful of people, but I wrote it anyway because I love that weapon and it was fun to do.

Giving this build a shot next time I can get on...I have had a tough time getting proficient with this character. I play it very defensive and try to set mines up in locations behind myself to not get flanked, and usually have to rely heavily on a weapon. One of the few kits I havent experienced a lot of success with for example having to clutch a later wave. I can do it, but plenty of time for sandwiches for the spectators.

This is true. I appreciate basically everything that people do for this community even though I'm being a d*ck about it most of the time.

If Zae makes a guide I will probably flame the hell out of it, but that's just the way it is. So get to it Zae and make it happen buddy!

I'd like to see you make a cain mine guide Zae.  I don't have much time to play and haven't even tried the build (and I have a lot of hours).  I searched how to do it but it did not seem intuitive.  I'd be thankful if you took the time.

Also you'll do more damage with the shred evolution rather than armor damage on armor piercing arrows. Armor damage is mainly for armor weakening and you're using the graal which already ignores armor, shred also does 50% more damage to everything not just armor.

Just to point something out:

To the best of my knowledge, the 50% bleed evo is an additive bonus, based on base damage of 75 points per arrow, it adds 37.5 points of damage per arrow over 5 seconds(7.5 points per arrow per second)(6X37.5=225 points vs everything).

The AP arrow evo is a multipicative bonus, multiplying all damage done to armour by the arrows by 35%.

In the case of my build, it adds up to 140 points of damage per arrow vs armour (6X140=840 points vs armour).

225 points vs everything as a DoT, or 840 points instantly vs armour?  It's a no-brainer.

The armour debuff for team-mates is just gravy.

Thanks for the correction.

That makes it 133.6 points per arrow, at 26.7 points per arrow per second on my build.

That's 801.6 points against everything as a 5 second DoT (160.3 points per second) vs 840 vs armour only, but instantly.

Not so clear cut a choice...

I'm impatient and over-aggressive when I play, so I'll probably stick with the AP evo, but a hit & run playstyle would likely favour the bleed evo.

EDIT: Does this mean that the other DoT evo's on other powers, such as frag grenades and incinerate are multiplicative too, or is the talon an exception?

Ok i will make a cain mine guide video this weekand.... but beware my playstyle with the talon and my method of doing things are highly unorthodox to compensate for playing with plat pugs. would you guys rather me solo gold or plat or play a plat game with 3 randoms?

Gold solo. It would be better to see "proper cain mining" IMO. At least I prefer using cain mines when I (try to) solo with this guy. In a pug, it's hard to set traps when everyone moves in every directions.

Salmon just finished a Platinum solo with the Omni-Bow and I believe he is uploading it now. Just wanted to put that here since some people might be interested to watch it when it's up 

Don't know if he had commentary or not but I hope so.

And to Mr. Zae, do a Gold solo since that is usually the best when making a guide. Or you can have multiple gameplay videos and then edit together the important stuff, I mean, a guide should not only make you good at soloing with the character but also improve teamplay.
