I will begrudgingly admit that I've managed to loose my Original ME3 disk, the main problem I am facing is that my original copy was an N7 Collectors Edition. The question I am posing is wether or not I'm screwed or if I could buy a regular ME3 copy and use the CE disk key to reinstall on Origin. I'm hoping this is the case but I'm doubtful.
Will any DLC I have bought over Origin carry over to the new install if it isn't a CE game copy? Or would I have to re-purchase the DLC again.
Digitally redownloading the game isn't an option as I live is a "rural" (5 mins from a large town/city) area and Telstra refuses to lay out some god damn ADSL lines.
A question about Re-Installing Mass Effect 3

You want to know whether you can install the Collector's Edition from buying the normal edition and using the CE key to obtain the extra stuff from it, right? If so, then I highly doubt it, as it shouldn't be on the regular-edition disk.
Regarding DLC, it won't be tied to whether you own the Collector's Edition or not (with the exception of From Ashes, naturally). But if you've uninstalled the game, as seems to be the case, then you'll have to download the DLC again. I'm wondering, though, how you downloaded this DLC in the first place when you say that 'digitally redownloading isn't an option'.
By far the best course of action seems, to me, to take your computer to a friend or family's house and borrow their internet to download the Collector's Edition through Origin again. It will ensure you keep the DLC you paid for once already, plus the CE stuff, plus possibly your savefiles (depending on whether they were saved on the cloud). It's either that or spending money on another copy and missing out on the DLC you've rightfully purchased already.

Damn, was hoping that wasn't the case. When I said it wasn't an option I meant in terms of Download size, the maximum monthly usage I can get where I live is 10GB, the DLC themselves took a decent chunk of that, with the game itself being over 10GB I won't be able to re download, at my place at least.

Oh, I see! Well, here's a bit of a wacky suggestion, but maybe at the end of each month you could download as much of the game as you had left on your monthly usage? Do you have any notion of how much you use per month? Still, with the game taking up more than 20 gb, it's far from an ideal solution.
I'm guessing now that your initial question was aimed at the possibility of a vanilla game installing all the essentials, after which you could digitally download the rest of the CE things and DLC? Hm. I still don't think it would work. It would treat the new game copy as a different game altogether, not realising it could use most of the data in re-downloading the CE through Origin. I don't think there's an easy way around it, unfortunately!

Bandwidth limits are horrible. I suffer too. With that in mind, there must be someone you can contact, maybe they will send you a new physical copy, since you already have a license.
Or you could check out amazon or ebay or something. Hell, you can probably just buy the trilogy for less.
You can back up all your dlc so you don't have to download it again. The licenses for those should be tied to your user account.

I checked my CE and the DVDs are standard ME3 disks. All collectors edition items are digital and have to be downloaded during the installation process. Only the key determines what version of the game you own.

you shouldn't need to re-purchase the game. login on origin and see if mass effect 3 pops up on the games list. the first context option should be install.
this should work as your key is registered to your account and most game platforms these days recognize when you own a game that isn't installed on the logged in computer.

^ He's already aware of that, he just can't download 24 gb in one go
he's restricted to 10 gb/month and that's including all his other internet needs.
Oh, that's interesting. I wonder then if he could use a standard game to reinstall ME3 after all.
Hm. So people who bought the Collector's Edition would effectively only have the standard edition unless they were also connected to the internet? Conditions for the offline gamers are deteriorating quicker than I thought.
