I'm frustrated that ME3 didn't learn its lesson IMO

There was never an answer that would satisfy fans, or way they could answer a question that wouldn't leave fans pissed. After months upon months of attempted appeasement, explinations, and having fans simply throw it back at the devs as being inadequate, bad writing, and wrong, I don't see why the devs shouldn't have given up on this fanbase and simply focused on pleasing those who weren't mad.

I am a fan and a simple "it's ok, he was joking" would have worked, for that matter, a simple "it's ok, although minimalist the breath scene means Shepard survives and reunites with the crew" would have allowed me to ALSO enjoy the game more.

Secondly, a pissed off core fan base can do huge damage, ask the Capcom, NT and Ubisoft

You're talking to a former long time fan of capcom, and trust me, you don't have power even in numbers. You think you do, you think you can influence them at least economically. Then you realize that the company isn't going under, that the core is the minority, that the so called not fans and casuals aren't as fickle as you thought. That they outnumber you, are more willing to dispose their income then you, and that they are the new core fanbase, and you have been replaced.

Honestly, clarity to the issue would be helpful, though I personally don't take it seriously.

I don't much of anything seriously from BW anymore. They've proven that they aren't worth my intelligent thought.

RE6 sold awfully (and might you I bought it and for what it was I liked it), So did DMC and Ubisoft had the XP mechanic hastily changed in Thief after huge negative feedback

You have power, more than you think

I will never tire of the people who angst about Shepard dying in the rubble despite Bioware adding more and more things that hint as his survival.

I'm sure glad that none of this has prevented me from enjoying this game enough to continue replaying it.

hmm. i was under the impression that you disliked the ending. that false? or is it true but you didn't let it ruin everything?

Granted, I get the message they're trying to get across, but I can't help but feel the execution was whack.

Why they chose to portray Shepard surviving that way was pretty irritating IMO.

With the EC, the ending went from awful to acceptable. Lots of faults, but I enjoy the game leading up to that point far too much.

This topic is ridiculous, why does Shepard living or dying matter? Seriously, is this all people care about? This has to be a joke.

Shepard won't be in the new game so it really doesn't matter. Unless they decide to pull a SWTOR revan, which I would fully support and endorse imo. Fighting a robot garrus or maybe robot LI and then shepard themself could be great.

*sarcasm*

ME's cinematic intro, and cinematic outro, along with ME2's cinematic intro and outro, along with ME3's cinematic intro may have been confusing...but Bioware was aiming for a cinematic game.

*end sarcasm*

And, the ole "shot of dead character suddenly gasping for air and camera cut" is rather well known in cinema (i've watched barely any movies ever but i know of it).

Why? Thane didn't seem to care in ME2.

I'd actually quite like that.

Because people foolishly thought they'd have a say in the fate of the character they spent five years playing.

I mean, what did they think this was, a role playing game?

"Hint" is the problem.

"Could be his last breath" was not the solution.

I dunno. Shepard was in bad shape, but his/her fate is at least more within my control than it was in Mass Effect 2.

I suppose in one respect, it's kind of a blessing that I just started this series 5 months ago instead of having 5 years invested in it. Prior to playing ME3, I looked up reviews on it. The ending was usually mentioned in a negative light, and that the EC made it better for quite a few. So before starting ME3 I downloaded the EC, and haven't "experienced" the original ending. I will admit it left me wanting more, but I haven't let that keep me from enjoying additional playthroughs.
