I'm frustrated that ME3 didn't learn its lesson IMO

I just heard a rumor that I wish was true, and it would make sense, though I try not to absorb them to deeply. just let me know if you've heard this or know if it's true or not etc. cause this is the first I've heard of it. I was surfing around those youtube game reviewer channels, (might have been total biscuit; or not, can't recall atm). the reviewer mentioned that we were supposed to get a completely different ending for mass effect 3, however, someone leaked the ending with about a month left in the development phase. forcing that bs rewrite we got stuck with. anyone know how accurate this is?

The ending in the most recent script leak read almost identically to what was presented in-game.

So, not really accurate at all.

hopes dashed once again. would have been nice to think it was circumstance and not EA/BW that screwed us.

---edit
in retrospect that may have been a tad too pointed... though don't think I could have found a duller way to put that.

Of course, APPARENTLY both Casey and Preston pushed for an optional non sacrificial ending....but that only resulted in the breath scene, why is beyond me comprehension

duller as in less sharp, or perhaps not so mean spirited. that's what I was going for.

---edit here too

I'm not an ea or bioware basher... well, I might be a bit of an ea basher as they have killed some of my most loved development studios, but I wouldn't bash bw unless they did something much worse than a bad ending.

Need sources on this, outside of PMs.

I'd gladly give you my password to check for yourself...but I so don't trust

Also....why?

Definitely not asking for access to your account. That's a bizarre reply.

Why? Because that's a big claim without a substantiated, public source to cite.

You know very well why that is not possible

Sounds like a load of crap, along with a bunch of other tall tales that ME fans like to spread around about what was going to be in ME3.

Then I wouldn't make the claim.

With the difference this was spread by a dev. So...you question the source or the veracity of his words?

Not really, you either doubt the source's authenticity OR its truthfulness

So...which one is it?

You need a source, a proven source. If you don't have that then it's simply a load of made up crap.

A source. Which me and Dream have asked and you keep dodging it.

Casey once offered me a job as a designer at Bioware, tis totally true. He also told me they did everything with crimzon's tearz in mind.

I can copy/pasta the email if you gais want.

"From: Caseyisawesome@biowerplz.com

P.S. Crimzon's tearz man, we live for them. ;-;"

Then you have nothing to back your claim up. PMs---private messages---don't cut it, anyway.

So long as you're alright with asserting something with no verifiable public source (you know, the way the world works), knock yourself out, bub. But don't be surprised when you're not taken seriously.

Sooo unless the guy stares that publicly (which you know he never could at this point) then it is moot?
