The colonel from James Cameron's Avatar.
"Wait, weren't you supposed to be explaining to them what we were here for? What we need?"
"Well, yeah, but I hooked up with Neytiri instead."
"...DUDE! People are DEAD now!"
Never watched "Should have ended", but just looking at this picture.

Could mankind ask for a greater hero?
Him and ME2-TIM should totally team up, preferebly alongside Colonel Kilgore.
F+ck TIMmy, he's nowhere badass to be counted an equal among that guy and Kilgore. TIM is a racist/speciest powerhungry, psychopathic maniac with a messiah complex!

Not quite. She's more of a Nietzche-style nihilist. She's out to show you that any and every action will have consequences, many of which are unfortunate and tragic in their implications.

Solidus Snake - Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
Raiden - Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (Much better than that breakdancing clown he became in Guns of the Patriots - The worst kind of character development for an otherwise solid character)
Kain - Legacy of Kain (Guess we are supposed to hate him since he's the villain and he's trying to commit atrocities)
The Killer - Persona 4
Jaime Lannister - A Song of Ice & Fire
The Joker (Paul Dini's & Heath Ledger's version)
Brick Top - Snatch
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Kimlee
Baccano! - Ladd Russo (Every single character in this series are criminal or evil bastards but this guy is just a complete bastard and yet still rather endearing)
Breaking Bad - Skyler

That reminds me. Colonel Kurtz from Apocalypse Now (and the Kurtz from the novel it was based off of Heart of Darkness) is one of those characters who's a terrible person, but an incredible warrior and leader. At the risk of my own military career, I'd say that he and Kilgore (and Willard as well) are officers whose philosophy I agree with.

I didn't feel you were supposed to hate her either. Otherwise she would've been my first choice. I thought Kreia was portrayed as a harsh, but on some level relatable mentor to the Exile. It never felt like she stopped taking on that role even at the bitter end when you had to kill her. That's just me, though.

Wasn't it actually the other way round in that Kurtz was actually a pretty reasonable guy, who just happened to come to the conclusion that pretty isn't going to cut it and thus started to employ dirty warfare?
The impression I got from the movie was that he definately did not revel in the violence he uses and that he's got major psychological trauma distinctively different from being psychotic himself. It's just that he used incredibly violent tactics because they were the only thing that was really successful.
He's only a terrible person by way of doing things that weren't socially accepted (the incredible violence and the murder of allied personel), but you can easily see how his methods were successful (the VC took a hiding everywhere he showed up and after the murder of said personel, whoever was feeding the VC with informations stopped).
As far as my interpretion goes, he wasn't a terrible person, he just used terrible methods and with him being fully aware that they are terrible constitutes him as a very reasonable character in my books, even though him actually doing such stuff obviously puts a dent in my sympathy.

If you're talking about Hogan's Heroes ... I very much doubt Klink was supposed to be hated, just like Schultz. Hofstedter and Burghalter on the other hand ...

I remember in my Grade 12 English class, "nemesis" was a vocabulary word... I tossed out the teacher's definition and used Brick Top's. Well, aside from the last line.

Xen(ME2/ME3),Gerral(ME3),Magneto(X-Men),The Joker, and Faora(Man of Steel)
I liked how Bioware through Tali tried to make it seem like her experimenting on her toys was akin to disecting a live baby or something. All it did was show that she possessed a creative and curious mind at an early age.
A shame I couldn't help her control the Geth in 3.
Edit: And I was disappointed I couldnt' crack open a six pack with Gerrel after smasking the geth like he promised in 2.

Gotta ask, what's your beef with the Geth?

Counter question: What's your beef with half the characters in the game?

Inconsistency and whitewashing mostly.
