I am mildly indifferent towards the Geth and strong dislike for the Quarians with the exception for Admiral Something vas Quip Qwip. That guy at least has a correct understanding of what happened. But all other Quarians so far range from merely hateful to downright warmongering whenever Geth are involved. Which in my opinion is wrong, the Quarians are at fault for what happened and have victimized themselves for a deed they've orchestrated themselves.
Also, I hate the Council. Tolerating slavery from the Batarians (remember they had an embassy before their conflict with the humans) but then in the same notion just outright banning and institutionized discrimination against a whole species/civilization because they created the Geth (not even because they illegally tried to genocide them, but for failing to eradicate them after they evolved to sentients they banned Quarians from galactic society!).
They're a bunch of ignorant bigots.

Well, there are so many errors with the Quarian story that's perpetuated. What truth do you choose to believe?

This is as good a thread as any if you feel like I misrepresented something.
So, what exactly is wrong?

Naturally, Bauer doesn't want this to happen, so he contacts NSA agent Eric Rayburn, hoping that Rayburn will warn CTU of the bombing attempt and enable an evacuation of the site. But Rayburn is fearful that an evacuation of CTU will blow Jack's cover, so he suppresses the information from CTU and instead orders CTU to transfer all their data on the bomb to him. This is pretty heavy-handedly portrayed as a Mean and Naughty action by the show, and Rayburn gets his just comeuppance at the end.
My question was, why? Wasn't the Rayburn character simply following the ends-justify-the-means philosophy that pretty much defines Jack Bauer himself as a character? Apparently, you're not allowed to follow that philosophy if it means endangering the attractive main cast members of the show (civilians and Middle Easterners, however, are a different story). I wouldn't say that I loved Rayburn, but I just found the show's treatment of the character to be extremely hypocritical.

Fast forward to Cataclysm and he has become an insufferable Messiah analog / empowerment avatar for Chris Metzen, sort of like a Matt Ward character. Heck, basically every major leader in WoW would qualify.
EDIT:
Haha, this post is in the wrong thread. Oh well, I'll start anew.
Suzaku Kururugi - Code Geass
Saruman - LoTR (Hobbit movie)
Bane - Dark Knight Rises
For the sake of spoilers, fog woman - Persona 4
Legate Lanius - New Vegas
Walhart - Fire Emblem: Awakening (I actually dislike Chrom more)
Holden Caulfield - Catcher in the Rye

Probably not, since Objectivism is completely against his ideas of heroism.

Walhart is a boss. I killed him in my second playthrough (didn't mean to). I think I forgot how you're supposed to recruit him. Which is weird, because it came natural to me in my first playthrough.LegendaryAvenger wrote...

I think the safe route is anyone that's opposing the protagonist and main characters of a story. Like Vegeta, Frieza, Udina, Saren, TIM, Lan-Di etc.General Slotts wrote...
