In regards to the Wardens, why? Take Duncan for example, he travels Ferelden looking for possible recruits. The wardens need to keep face with there benefactors and affiliations otherwise they might forget their obligations to them. In the noble Origins we discover that our lord father is obligated to house the warden in his castle. I Feel fine with finding wandering wardens on my travels.

Also In Da2 they have something to do, while its left unknown they are there for a reason.

however an interesting point, the Inquisition has never signed an agreement with the Wardens. That might mean that If wardens came to our strongholds looking for rest and stay we might get the opportunity to turn them away.

I would find it strange if there were no G Wardens in DAI. I would be extremely disappointed.

They have groups all over Thedas and even during Blight downtime they are active in training (even if they are much fewer in number).

The interesting thing about the Grey Wardens is that they are supposed to be neutral. This is not often the case and Inquisition looks to be political and it goes over borders. What will the Grey Wardens do?

Also they apparently have a bunch of secrets and follow their own rules. Not to mention that something is going on (DA2) and it's TERRIBLY important. What is happening that has riled the GW?

Nah, it'll be Anders.  Whether you stabbed him or not, there'll be a glorious cameo toward the end of Inquistion.  You've sided with the mages, but you made some REALLY bad choices along the way, and at the last moment, when all is lost....Anders appears in the sky on his shiny black griffon, leading a charge of mage rebels to save the day!

Seeing as I'm such a well known and important member of the Bioware community, I thought I'd just chime in on what I want for Dragon Age: Inquisition.

This thread is strictly for discussing, agreeing, or disagreeing with these requests.

  • Stop having cameos of every freaking companion from the previous games. It makes the world seem incredibly small, unrealistic, and is unnecessary. Focus on writing new characters.
  • Gryphons are extinct. Don't pull a Prothean and make a Gryphon companion or something, "durhur you actually found a reclusive nest of Gryphons that survived." No. They're extinct. If you wanna make a game with Gryphons, set it during one of the early blights.
  • Stop including the Grey Wardens in games that have nothing to do with the blight. This is another unnecessary thing that just makes the world seem smaller and unrealistic. Unless it has to do with the ones who basically run the country of Anderfels, they shouldn't be there.
  • Rogues should be able to use more than daggers. A duelist specialized rogue should be able to use either a single one-handed sword without anything in his offhand or at the very least a main-hand sword and an off-hand dagger.
  • Remove the dialogue wheel. I know this isn't going to happen, but still, I'm including it. I swear I'm not an elf playing hippy, but I love my dialogue trees.
  • Don't retcon. Retconning ruins lore and pisses people off. Just look at how bad Warcraft's lore is now.
  • I'm pretty sure they are addressing this, but cut out the crappy "style" of Dragon Age 2 with unrealistic armor and 2h warriors leaping in the air doing omg anime flips.
I feel like I have more, but this was a spur of the moment creation so I will add more later as I think of them.

BioWare doesn't negotiate with grognards.

Please stop with demands people, it makes you look foolish. We get it, some things you don't like. You have no say in the end if its going to be in the game or not, it is as BioWares discretion how it works.

I guess some of you don't post on the internet enough to pick up on jokes, but the tone wasn't serious, I've posted on here like 5 times. Considering the attention it's getting though, I can't complain.

Thanks to everyone for contributing, even if you disagree on everything because your opinions are bad. I love the gent who defended his argument with Twilight. Gave me a good laugh.

Hard to pick up a joke when its poorly defined.

Not to mention a lot of people around here act like you and apparently take it seriously too. There is that wrinkle in your plan for sarcastic trolling.

@ OP
its their world and their story. the can pretty much do what they want.

as long as they give us a rational/pseudo rational explanation and if those point are contention they are played even if there is ultimately no chance of altering then.
added to that if of stories arcs developed in the game concludes from the point of view of the char. it is all good to me.

I agree on many of your points, but presuming yourself important and using the word "demand" certainly wont give your arguments any weight. You are not really doing yourself any favors and this arrogant way to put forth your points is more likely to work against you than help you.

If I was a dev and someone wrote "This is my demands" Id ignore the thread completely. As one cannot expect to have their voice heard when abscent respect and common politeness.

You'll feel differently once you have fried Ceolcanth with greens and cornbread.

"The coelacanth has no real commercial value, apart from being coveted by
museums and private collectors. As a food fish the coelacanth is almost
worthless, as its tissues exude oils that give the flesh a foul flavor."

I think someone fooled you and served you Trout and told you it was Coelacanth.

Some interesting points. Let's discuss !

Agree when it comes to most characters. I still think that characters with a world influence, or with a reason to be in Orlais (Morrigan, Flemeth, the king of Ferelden, etc.) are okay and even logical.

Gryphons are extinct. Don't pull a Prothean and make a Gryphon compani[on or something, "durhur you actually found a reclusive nest of Gryphons that survived." No. They're extinct. If you wanna make a game with Gryphons, set it during one of the early blights.

They already had friggin' DRAGONS been believed as extinct which were not, and a dragon is quite bigger than a gryphon. On the other hand, it's quite a bit cliché to have "old extinct races coming out of retirement" so to speak.
So in the end, don't really care.

Stop including the Grey Wardens in games that have nothing to do with the blight. This is another unnecessary thing that just makes the world seem smaller and unrealistic. Unless it has to do with the ones who basically run the country of Anderfels, they shouldn't be there.

Disagree. Grey Warden ARE a big deal, against a menace that, though lower when there isn't a Blight, is still permanent and worldwide. They still have the Right of Conscription - which isn't the kind of thing you give to people who are unheard of. If anything, I think the Grey Warden should be more often spoken about (not necessarily encountered, but famous and recognized as an order).

Rogues should be able to use more than daggers. A duelist specialized rogue should be able to use either a single one-handed sword without anything in his offhand or at the very least a main-hand sword and an off-hand dagger.

Agree. Any kind of non-logical restrictions, in fact, should be removed.

Remove the dialogue wheel. I know this isn't going to happen, but still, I'm including it. I swear I'm not an elf playing hippy, but I love my dialogue trees.

Strongly agree. The dialogue wheel is one of the most idiotic and formulaic additions in RPG.

Don't retcon. Retconning ruins lore and pisses people off. Just look at how bad Warcraft's lore is now.

Agree, retcon should be anathema.
On the other hand, a change is not necessarily a retcon, and it can be pulled off graciously. I'm mostly against "it was like that in the past, but now it's like that".

I'm pretty sure they are addressing this, but cut out the crappy "style" of Dragon Age 2 with unrealistic armor and 2h warriors leaping in the air doing omg anime flips. I feel like I have more, but this was a spur of the moment creation so I will add more later as I think of them.

OH GOD SO MUCH YES !
Realistic style all the way, remove the retarded crap we saw in DA2 please please please !

I never actually took it as demands but more as advices, in the end, wathever happens it's Bioware that decide how they do their games.

Being able to buy usable capes to add to any armor set like the shield heralds in Awakening has been added to the list.

I demand more brothels with more people to choose from. I also want pretty looking women, not ugly ones. I also want to face the consequences to my addiction to going to these brothals like getting sexual transmitted diseases, which of course lowers my health, and have difficult time romancing people. I also want to bang my romance partner anywhere I want, and I want to see actually footage of my character having sex, not being censored by it. Um what else? Oh I also want to have the option  to practice polygamy without any mods.

I support most, if not all, of these ideas. But I don't appreciate the OP's over-inflated ego.

Bumping terrible threads is shameful. Even more so, when it's your own one.

Why do you hurt me so, Star fury? Just admit my demands are excellent and that you like them. There is no escape...
