For me, basically mash these three together:

Basically, the stoic/cold hearted killer of The Hound and Josey Wales slammed together with the rought and tumble look and sarcasm of Bronn. Hopefully a scar like Josey Wales had as well.
Essentially, my Inquisitor is going to be a "good guy" that is a colossal a-hole at the same time to people he hates.

I guess I'd have to give up the guns and explosives, but I could deal with it if he was voiced by Ron Perlman.

My shield is disgust.
My sword is hatred.
In the Maker's name, let none survive.

How about a snarky white knight with bigoted views but also has a heart of gold?Guns wrote...
I just want to be able to make more complex characters like an alignment chart character, chaotic neutral. Right now it sort of you're a white knight or a snarky ass .
This character on the one hand will do everything they can to help people who are down on their luck and living in poverty, but at the same time will smite anyone who uses magic.
They will ram Templar values down your throat, but at the same time will always help you out if you are in trouble (as long as you're not a mage). Oddly enough, despite being a Templar, they have disgust for most Templars.
Then on top of that, they have a troubled childhood involving being a victim of experiments at the hands of a mage.
Throughout the journey they do use mages if it serves their purposes. Also they have lots of snarky quips.
You know what? This reminds me of Hawke during my second playthrough of Dragon Age 2.
He was pretty similiar to the description I've given.
Sadly the only way to make your character as complex as above is to add loads of details of events happening outside the game. Is there a term for what I'm doing?

Both my 'canon' Grey Warden and my 'canon' Shepard are pretty noble. If Dragon Age adopted the Mass Effect reputation system, both would be considered 'Paragon'.
If DA:][ adobts the renegade/paragon systhem I'll wait for the GOTY/Gold edition.
This blackn'white systhem is one of the worst thing that can happen to RPGs imho.

If I stick with rogue, then I will continue with my usual appearance. All of my characters usually end up looking the same.

If I can be sarcastic, then that's the type of character I'll play. If it's similar to Mass Effect, then I will be a renegade type.

I never said that it should adopt such a reputation system. I was stating that if Origins had such a system, then my Warden would fall under the Paragon category. Nothing more, nothing less.
