People wanted kick a player with level 1 weapon from a gold lobby.

I confirmed but then I realized that was the host !

Do you agree that was unfair ?

Depends on the class and weapon. But kicking the host is dumb. Just leave the lobby, you toad.

Vote kicking into a host migration is a waste of time.

First question, what gun was it? There's a lot of difference between a Shuriken I and a claymore I.

Second question, was it a high level (xp not N7) adept/ engineer/ sentinel/ vanguard, that can get a lot of damage from BE's, FE's, TB's etc?

If the gun was decent (despite being level I), or the kit didn't need a decent gun to perform, then it might have been worth giving the host a chance, depending on your opinion of the capability of the other players and yourself.

If it was a weapons class without a decent weapon, then quitting the lobby would have been wise.

No benefit in kicking the host. Easier to leave

Easier, quicker and less dramatic to leave a lobby than kick the host of the match. If they want to spend the match face first and getting stomped I figure, hey, it's their match.

I'm not a fan of kicking anybody in a gold game, particularly if I haven't seen them play yet. Leeches and players who obviously have no business on Gold after I've seen them play, I just leave the lobby afterwards.

Platinum is a different story; come with the goods in the lobby or I'm gone.

Wrong.

Free consumables after a host change.

Aren't the consumables only auto-equiped and substracted from you personal stock? I seem to recall a thread like that. Or maybe what I'm talking about is the case for host migration during an ongoing game.

I confirm.

On topic, it depends on the weapon in question, whether the host is equiped...

Only kick the host if he/she encourages cheating or has really bad lag.

If he had no weapon mods, no gear bonus and no equipment, then the kick was justified.

If he was using weapon mods, a gear bonus and some equipment, then you shouldn't have kicked him.

You'll keep the consumables you use in the game after the host switch if you stay in the lobby.

I consider it really rude to kick host tbh. It´s like coming over to party, kick host because you don´t like the music and continue partying with other people. Set up your own lobby, there you will be the king.

We kicked host once too, because it was our friend and he didn´t believe us host can be kicked.

If you don't like the lobby, leave. Simple as that.

I never kick vote to host, just leave to lobby like others.

But I m used to kick vote for the player who let other PUGs wait for longtime between the match.

Low level of weapon is acceptable and I m not serious about. Play style is more important.

This is basically the same philosophy that allowed Alexander the Great to conquer half the world. Nine out of ten barbarian warlords agree: if you don't like somebody's music and whatever, crush them, see them driven before you and rock out to the lamentation of their women.
