I prefer the helpful and the snarky answers. It usually plays like a Chaotic Good alignment. I usually don't have it in my heart to play evil/rude characters.

Not 100% sure to be honest, it kinda depends on what background BioWare gives the Inquisitor.
Like an ex-Seeker thats become disenchanted with the Divine, a Dwarf thats been kicked out of Orzammar, heck a Qunari Mage thats became fed up with the Qun and managed to escape etc etc
As far as I'm aware BioWare hasn't said anything about the Inquistor other then that its his/her job to investigate and close the tears in the Veil.
Unless BioWare tells us more before the games released, for my first run I'll probably just go into it neutral and see where it takes me.

Usually I am the lawful good Paladin but I might switch it up this time.
(I am sure I will play-through soooo many times.)

Neutral human or elven male rogue
-will use persuasion options whenever possible, especially if it serves his self interests
-primarily interested in what will benefit himself and those close to him (love interest especially)
-not afraid to say no to someone he doesn't like or if he doesn't feel like it
-ungrateful/'bad' people get what they deserve, but if possible doesn't always result in death (putting the miner that robbed Hawke in prison, as an example)
-will 'tell someone about him/herself' when backed into a corner or clearly wrong
-good serves as a better or more desirable outcome, not as a fuzzy feeling
-law and order serves as a convenient benefit and to keep things in place, with some rules meant to be broken if it can yield a benefit
-if my character is an elf, he will benefit other elves firsts and all others second

I have never really been able to "get into" a character who takes an evil, dark-side, or renegade approach. I just don't "like" the character if I take that approach and it ruins my ability to role play the character. Also, they always feel either psychotic or "faux bad-ass" to me that I just roll my eyes at most of the responses.
I've completed DA: O about a dozen times and have always taken the "good" or "helpful" approaches. I prefer to also use "cunning" when possible since I like to play a smart character.
In DA2, I've only played the "helpful" and "sarcastic" Hawkes. I did one of each and one where I mixed it up between the two as I went.
I'm expecting that I'll go that route with DA: I. I'll do a "good" run-through the first time and then see if I want to do a sarcastic option the second time (provided that the responses follow the same approach as DA2).

Like it says in my sig, born to play Paragon. I'll try as hard as I can to save everyone, be the rock others come to rely on, and generally make the world a better place because I was there.

I always pick a few traits I want my character to have when I create them and then as the story goes create brand new traits that can appear in my character as the story goes on and have their moral code develop almost never straight up good or evil, that's too obvious and dull for me.

I'm always a goodie who tries to save everyone and make the world full of rainbows and bunnies and unicorns, just don't have it in me to be bad. I tried a renegade Shepard in mass effect once and couldn't play it after more than an hour or so. I do like to have a bit of a sarcastic streak though.

A very short sighted vigilante, like Batman if he were a seven foot tall ox-man Mage. You know always out to help even if it means imparering the Inquisitions overall progress, like saving that village in the demo.

I want to be a show off with companions who "stroke" my ego ...every now and then -.-.
Oh and I also want a matching fat belly with that ego.
I just have to ask, does that mean you'd like your companions to stroke your belly as well?
