I won't lie, that is the impression I got.

Trust me, I am extremely pro Mage, and Mr. JB's not that bad. Granted, he is very pro Templar, but he hasn't ever advocated for the rape or abuse of mages.

And yet he doesn't really seem to care that it happens. I would find that bad too.

Sorry in my eyes if you support the Templars then you advocate the rape and abuse of mages.

Well, if we are to start generalizing like that, then because we support mages, then we too must support demon summoning and mind controlling as well.

How many pro-Templars have damned known abusive Templars? None that I have ever seen in fact some seem to idolize them. I have seen a lot of pro-mages damn blood mages and by name like Huon, Grace, Iduna and many others.

Then I was right. You are assuming.
@eluvianix: I agree. Generalizing that a person supports some things just because he/she support a certain faction is wrong.

I'm not assuming they support this in RL situation but in the fiction world of DA then yes. Really how many have even entertained the idea of something other then the circle that already existed? None that I have seen in fact several want to make even worse then it already is.

And I think that is completely untrue. Please provide me with some examples that can backup your argument. Pro Templars might think the Circle is necessary, but I have yet to encounter anyone who wants to make them worse, that are not trolling.

I've seen plenty pro templars damn people like alrik, only the most staunch pro templars can ignore or idolize him
Pro templars and Pro mages aren't as divided as you think a lot of us of think think circles and templars are necessary but should be under major reforms, so don't generalize we finally found compromise.

@hhh89: If you can give me more then one name then I will be convinced. I haven't been here all that long and what I have seen in my short time here has given me the impression I have about the pro-Templars.

And that is extremely short sighted to damn them all, considering you have been here for such a short time, versus many of us who have been doing this for quite some time.

There are pro-templars who criticized there certain templars  and certain actions of the. Order in BSN. If you're asking about what they did in-game, I'd have no clue. But I don't think is needed.
As for the Circle, other than there are plenty of pro-mages  or neutrals that support a Circle system, there are pro-templars who don't want a worse Circle system but want to make the former system better (MisterJB is one of those, ai believe). Again, supporting the Circle doesn't mean that a person (no matter the faction he/she prefers) supports abuse or rape of mages.

That is the reason this support thread exists. For people who see both sides on the argument: the neccesity of an institution like the Circles yet the need to reform said institution to be better for the mages. The extreme views that say the one side should be wiped out by the others should stay in that side's threads I think.

Dave of Canada. In one of the earlier posts he prepossed to make the circles hasher then they already are with mages having little to no rights at all. I doing this on an iPod so I can't link it but it is on the first or second page.

I can't say I am convinced by this but I will drop it and keep my options on this matter to myself.

I was being sarcastic. My point was that while there are some who think the Circle needs to be harsher, those voices appear to be in the minority, in my eyes. I can rattle off a litany of pro Templars who want a better Circle system. This generalizing gets us nowhere.

@thetinyevil: Thekomandorshepard isn't pro-templar. He's both anti-mage and anti-templar.

@eluvianix: Actually they seem to be the majority with a very small minority wanting to improve the system.
