Templars aren't natural, they're just normal people that eat lyrium. Eating that stuff rots their minds and they go crazy in various degrees, some helpful crazy like a couple templars in DAO (boat guy and funeral chantry guy) or bad crazy (Half the Templars in DA2).
Mages though are a natural thing, they're born that way and grow into their powers. It'd be better if mage training / education was given to all people. Everyone should study magic in classes right after language, math, gym, etc in school. While not everyone would have the talent to preform spells, they'd at least learn about magic and be better educated about it. A stronger social group with better emotional bonds to help each other would mean well trained mages able to take on their demons in the fade and less likely to become aboms.
Eh that's just my two cents, back to watching Misfits on Hulu.
Well, that's a good idea.....except Thedas doesn't have a school system. The closest they're only just approaching now is the universities in Orlais and the one Anora's said to start up if made queen.
Thedas royalty should increase taxes, build more schools, then build towns around those schools for housing and trade. Also, they'd need to improve roads as well, gotta make it easier for travelers. There needs to be hope, change for the future.
Sadly most royalty won't do anything to help. They'll say the rent is too damn high. That apostates have calves the size of cantalopes. Or that 47% of the peasants just wants handouts.
