Would people on here kill each other if they were in Thedas?

Just wondering...

I wouldn't. I follow Kreia's advice. I don't think I need to kill people from the BSN.

good luck but i tell you that most here wouldn't kill anyone because murder have consequences (laws etc)...

I believe that it is assumed that we would have the power and influance to fight in the first place + in said in Thedas.

Well if person can avoide consequences i can see that but still average member of the current community would have problem with murder and mane feels guilty if they kill someone.

That is an equal to murder action. The person that was there before will be no more.

I think most would hesitate to murder as well.

I'm not saying any names but there are people on here that would be on my list if we were in Thedas 2 of them are in this thread and it won't be long before the third shows his ugly husk face.

Well aren't you just a ray of sunshine. <_<

Why would we kill each other over opinions anyway?

Because once you become a part of Thedas ( as the theoretical question suggests ) those opinions become more than opinions, they become actions that affect your life to a great digree.

Opposing views can work that way, particularly once thrust into war like I'm Thedas.

Was joking, though. Should have used a smiley.

No. Having an opinion does not equate to action, nor does magically appearing in Thedas make anyone hear part of either side of the debate that they want to be.

Touche. Fair point. But at least that person I have changed is alive.

I'm sorry, but there really is no way both mages and templars can coexist peacefully. It's human nature.

In real life, humans will never fully accept everyone for who they are. Mostly because many are the people in power who don't accept everyone for who they are. Only few world leaders are accepting of everyone. Barack Obama, for example. As fair as he is, there are people who despise him, and consider him a terrible president for the United States... despite the "good" he has done.

Those in power will fight back when their power is threatened, whether their actions are justified or not, or fair or not.

As long as there are people who hate for hates sake (or whatever their reasons), they will continue to seek like individuals. Conversely, people who are accepting of others, seek each other out to rebel against the haters.

As long as mages and templars think themselves right, or just want to have all the power, they will never cooperate.

Even if they DO manage to settle their differences, it WILL take mass death, and possibly even mass destruction to do it.

Deny it all you want, OP.

I assume that theoretical question implied that we would be a part of Thedas everyday life like all citizens, not just randomly appear there for an hour.

And pray tell, what do you suggest we do? Just slug it out, and see who's left standing?

Yes.

Pick a side to your liking and annihilate/inslave the other.

Tell mages to shut the hell up snd deal with it. Same with the guys who demand everyone should be required to own guns/guns should be banned in all forms.

Worlds not made exclusively for them and they got it pretty easy so they should smile and take it like a trooper. Templars should nut up and be made to answer to a higher regular power authority. Essentially expand the seekers ao they routinely monitor them and keep violations from happening.

Setting up q rule of law and constitutional system should be a bigger concern then mage freedom, truth be told.

As Orlain kinda brushed on, the only thing that would really cause both groups to reconcile their differences is if some terrible incident occurred that effected both sides equally. And it just so happens that we happen to have that disaster occurring during the Mage-Templar War, the tears in the Veil.

Every person's life is their biggest concerns. If I was a mage I wouldn't give 2 sh*ts about law or constitutional systems.

That's why mages are selfish. Like the dalish or the dwarfs.

Which is completely reasonable, and there is nothing wrong with that.

You HAVE to pick a side! You can't just see what happens, you have to do something for one, over the other.

Just as selfish as every other person in Thedas.

Or you help both.
