I'm certain that BioWare's learned from the feedback of ME's multiplayer, given that they fixed the requirements to unlock the optimal outcome of each ending. Sure, it's possible that it could happen again, but really, I see the odds as being pretty remote. As of now, it should not be any kind of issue until we know what the game actually entails.

Just seeing the Galactic Readiness levels on the main menu already make it too intrusive for me

The sisyphian task of keeping it at, or near, 100% was certainly irritating.

That wasn't necessary, though: before the EC, at 50%, your assets were just barely shy (~250) of seeing the breath scene.

I think he's talking about gamer OCD, rather than a rational response to the system.

I'm talking about the multiplayer aspects intruding on the game from the very start, before I've so much as started a game.  Already it's saying "Come on, play multiplayer!"

No footage or screen shots? then I don't care.

What difference does it make so long as it's not required? It's a short throw from the bellyaching over the existence of action mode, despite having no meaningful effect on the game for those who don't use it.

The "he" in my post was Eryri, not you. Keeping it at 100% is irrational.

I guess you don't want to hear my theory on how action mode is at least partly responsible for all the autodialogue in the game Image IPB

Go ahead with the action mode theory. This thread's a mess anyway.

Correct. I will admit to being something of a completionist with the few games that I get into, and that decaying readiness score seemed tailor made to get under my skin. It may not be terribly rational to resent it, but then playing games isn't a completely rational activity to begin with.

Well, from what I understand, turning choices off means Shepard's responses are automated.  By limiting the number of opportunities a player has to make a response, as well as limiting the choices availble, that would make such automation much easier.  "Action mode" would flow much more smoothly.

I have to admit that the fact that the readiness rating never stays at 100% for more than just 10 minutes does kind of irk the completionist in me.

All I gotta say is, if there's a leaked script, KEEP THAT **** TO YOURSELF.

I don't want some blabbermouthed jackass ruining a potential return to form.

I wish there are no leaks like before with the ME3 script. Make a few adjustments and release it for Christmas ( I know that will never happen, but it's nice to dream ).

Can't wait, but this tweet hasn't changed anything, I'm already incredibly excited.

Indeed. How can something return when it never left?

Sounds cool but kind of a clocktease to make an article about it when there's not really anything to see.

I'd guess that the "playable build" they have has blocked out levels, non-final models, possibly no animations, audio, or combat mechanics. "Playable," at this point, may just mean in-game events are represented by a block of text that explains what the cinematic or scene will look like once finished.

Just a guess, mind you. I'm sure y'all will have plenty of time to squee once BioWare starts announcing stuff. :)

Good point. It would be weird to call a block of text "ambitious", "beautiful" and "fresh" though. Seems like there could be a recognizable game there from the choice of words in the tweet.

Could be. Perhaps they have a vertical slice level ready as a proof-of-concept. Again, just a guess.

it doesn't mean much if the game is in a playable state since DAI is likely out in 2014 or 2015 making the next ME likely out in 2015 or 2016
