Can dual-wield it and "traditionally" better against crit immune enemies. Morningstar is better if you'll never dual-wield.

Actually because i got bored with critical damage and i like bludgeoning weapons in medieval fantasy settings.
Technically, my argumentation works like this:
When i'm tanking enemies in improved expertise mode i'm not dealing much critical hits anyway. Should the enemy decide to attack another team member, i will switch to dual wielding and make them regret their decision by covering them in sneak attacks. (While sneaks are situational, they are way more reliably dealt than crits).
The only enemies not susceptible to this approach are undead and golems. Neither crits nor sneaks work against them obviously.
On top of this skeletons and glay golems are also 50% resistant to slashing and piercing. And this is where the mace comes into play. It can be used effectivelly in dual wielding and mantains a high average damage against all enemies immune to sneak attacks.
Of course in single player, this will not always work if you dont have a good henchman. You may need to rely on knockdown more often to trigger sneakattacks.
And if you get access to mind immunity, you can easily drop a feat like iron will, pick up imp. Crit and switch to another weapon.
But i can tell you i have never missed dealing critical hits since playing this character.
Edit: yup, what MM said!

Getting a mace with a enhancement is hard in the OC I can get a nice morningstar or 2
Tony seems to be doing a lot of sneak attacks and damage.

You're supposed to be level 3 at the beginning of Chapter 1 and you're told to do the Peninsula first. I think you're even encouraged to do Beggar's Nest second, so you don't find that guy until you're likely level 6-7 for most characters, 5 worst case. So yes, the trash is stupidly easy (which is a consistent theme throughout the whole campaign) but the boss himself is fine.Aelis Eine wrote...
I actually dusted the OC off just to check MM's claim that the boss was designed for level 5 to 6. So first thing, all the trash outside had 10-15 HP and were trivially easy. Hardly the kind of content for level 5 to 6 characters.
The Beggers Nest is last. If you talk to the henchmen in the Blade each one knows one area. They don't give you a clue for the next area.

See the build more of a blueprint of what could be done with multiclassing (as opposed to the others telling you to play a cleric :-) ). It is not optimised for the OC, so feel free to adapt it. Or even just take it as a pure source of maybe. An idea or two.
In the oc you get mind immunity easily so drop the saving throw feats. Chose a weapon you like and which suites your character/henchman combination.
You may even not like the idea of sneak attacks and rogue levels at all. In which case most of the build may not interest you at all.
But the underlying idea is central to good melee builds: you can mix and match in nearly endless combinations, and you should to find something that works best for you.

In the OC chapter 1, when you talk to Aribeth, she will suggest where to go next, if you ask. Her suggestions are the intended order to visit the districts of the city.
Since you are playing SoU, take that character into HotU and then the Sands of Fate series to get all the way to level 40.

What Empyre said. Peninsula -> Beggar's -> Blacklake -> Docks is the suggested order. Stuff like the Brawler's Guild or the Swords of Never would be absolutely brutal if you did them first.

@Empyre65 did that no-go. I am playing both.
@MaagicalMaster. Blade of Trade is were the henchmen hang out.
Order is Peninsula>docks>Blacklake>Beggar's Nest.
Your first henchmen is Tomi then the half orc, the barb then one of the other three.

Yep. And the henchmen have nothing to do with it -- you pick the henchmen you want and go with that, more or less. Aribeth says where to go next.

Hi Westan,
i'm glad you're having a good time with the character. iirc the OC checks for your WF feats and adjusts random weapon drops accordingly. don't expect the same behaviour in all campaigns though.
and a happy new year to you all.
