Dragon Age Inquisition SpeculationThis is kind of a combination post of all of the important speculation I have seen come from the recent release of Dragon Age Screen Shots. All of the important information is a possible spoilerish material. I tagged the heck out of this post. But do not read more if you want to avoid spoilers and speculation!David Gaider Mentioned This:
So that means there is some juicy info in these photos. After viewing through them all carefully. I think the most important photo for speculation is this one:
Now the first two things that you can see pretty clearly are these images (provided and pointed out by from missl0nelyhearts).A portrait of Empress Celene:
And a portrait of the Dowager Lady Mantillon:
No fears if you don’t remember the duchess, but she is the master of the Orlesian “Game”. She was also the assassin of Emperor Florian and hence the person who put Celene on the throne. All of this points to that this image was probably a raid of an Orlesian noble still loyal to the Emperess in the rebellion. Now comes the more interesting part:thepleasurecorner pointed out the small chair in the corner and the possible connection to Morrigan.
The chair is significantly smaller than then others, and would most likely belong to a child. Now what important child do we know of that might be hanging out in Orlais? How about Morrigan and the Old God Baby (who is timelined to be like 10- corrected). Via the wiki, we note that during one specific Warden ending. You see this in the ending slideshow.
[*]Morrigan leaves the party the night before the final battle when the Warden refuses her offer. She is later seen traveling through the Frostback Mountains alone. Several years later, tales out of Orlais said that a strange dark-haired mage had insinuated herself into the empress’s court .(Male PC must not engage in romance with Morrigan for this to trigger).[/list]Morrigan left to go hang out with Celene. Knowing that this is a supporters household. It is completely possible that this may be a place that Morrigan was staying. Now this ending was only if you refused the ritual, but who knows if it becomes cannon for the other endings. We also may note that the house holds food from Kirkwall. But the way the sign is painted reminds me more of the mage revolution than that of the standard sigil.
So at the very least we have a mage sympathizer who supports the Empress, and who has a very small child in their home. Now just looking at the general state of the room. The chair next to the childs looks like the person stood up quickly. Probably when the room was entered for the attack. The table on the ground (engraved with possibly chevaliers) looks like it was pushed from someone on the left side (our left), perhaps having to do with the paper on that side of the table and scattered below the large table. It is strange that there is only one chair on the ground of the opposite side. If it is Orlesian royalty, they would have made sure there were a matching number of chairs, unless it was a desk mean for receiving visitors.
Now the thing that I thinks supports the OGB theory is the damage to the floor to the right of the child’s seat. There are too many scratches for it to be a physical altercation, so I think it definitely has to be magic. Now why on earth the eggs are sitting there, I have no idea. They are too small to be dragons eggs, and they are in great condition for having fallen off the table. If someone has an idea, send it my way.( may be potatoes via ****relden’s suggestion) It looks like there are similar scratches under the table, just to the right of the childs chair. So perhaps the magic user was Morrigan at the center of the table, and she possibly flipped the table and attacking someone who tried to go to the side of the table to attack her child. Gaspard de Chalons is possibly using Empress Celene’s lover Briala as a spy.
So it would make sense that he would attack a powerhouse like Morrigan and her child while they were relaxed in their home. It would get rid of a major ally of Celene’s and keep Morrigan from assisting the mage cause. So perhaps this screenshot is of the aftermath of Morrigan getting attacked (OGB or no, perhaps she found a way around the Warden’s refusal even).—Now there is one oddity that I can’t explain. A large portrait has fallen from the far wall. To me it looks like a woman and a man standing. They both have long hair, and might possibly be elves? The woman looks like she is holding a bow. Alas I don’t have photoshop skills and can’t clear it up.
I just don’t see how it could have fallen off the wall during an attack. Perhaps it was taken down beforehand, or maybe it was taken down after the assassin attacked. Theories anyone?

So prudence is in order.

M.L. is the creative director , I think he coordinates the different teams , like writing , art , maybe combat ...I think he also check outside project such as books , movies .
Mark Darrah is executive producer , and I'm not sure what it's all about , to be honest.
But if I understood correctly somebody like David Gaider is the lead of the writing team , Mike Laidlaw is a step above ...and Mark Darrah should write a blog about what he's doing on Dragon Age...Maybe he takes care of financial stuff , makes sure the game is ready on time etc?
Anyway back on topic , now I wonder if the Inquisitor will investigate the Wardens and Hawke activity. We know Cassandra , Leliana (and I guess Varric now ) were onto something .
In the Orlesians dinner that went wrong picture , there's sack with the Kirkwall symbol on it.
We're going to go to Redcliff , etc...
It seems at least one of Hawke actions had really big consequences = the red lyrium discovery.

David reports to the Lead Designer (since Writing is only one team within Design), who reports to Mike as the Creative Director, and Mark Darrah is in charge of the whole project as Executive Producer. For a Mass Effect comparison Mark is in the same role as Casey Hudson, and the position seems to include defining the overall vision of the project as well as doing things like budgeting, and production.Reznore57 wrote...

I think Mark then has overall responsibility for the project, so he'd be the one to make these sorts of update posts.

I don't think the DA team has a Lead Designer. Mike was in DA2, and he's now creative director, but I haven't heard about anyone who took the job. It could be that Mike filled that role.
That seems like it might've happened, yeah.
Though I wonder what the point of the name change to Creative Director was, if everyone is still quoting Mike as the lead designer?

His new job might include other things he has to do other than being Lead Designer. I think that when they first talked about Mike being CD they talked about it.ElitePinecone wrote...
