And? Keep in mind that I didn't say that these videos were absolute proof that you were wrong, but rather merely evidence to the contrary. You have nothing to substantiate your statement that "nobody" romanced Jacob, while I can link you to videos showing that someone did. There's videos showing content in the Citadel DLC that touch on this very subject, so we know that at least some people imported into the next game with Jacob as an LI in ME2. Whether or not you believe that these users are "invested" in these character arcs is irrelevant, because you can't prove that they aren't any more than I can prove that they are. It still provides more than what you have to prove your assertion.

Kaisar, by nature, you can't really provide evidence to prove a lack of something. Generally you 'prove' such a thing by a lack of evidence.

Such as a lack of people on the BSN who have canonically romanced Jacob. That would be pretty convincing.

Fairly sure they gave up hope after EC.

No, it's not convincing, especially when you're continually narrowing the criteria that must be met.

Narrowing the criteria should make things easier for you. Not harder.

David.

Do I even need to reply to this?  You're just in a trolling mood today, aren't you?

I respect that, haha.

You think you can find me a single active BSN member who canonically romanced Jacob?

No guy, that's not how this works.

Anyway, I romanced Jacob on one of my FemShep playthroughs.

David how about this, regardless of your mindset - what if someone was so irritated about Jacob's treatment in ME3, that they changed their "canon"? You can do this, you know. I am not the same person I was 2 years ago, when the game came out and I can see myself doing things differently in the game and this would be a viable response to what your present self considers canon compared to your past self.

I should say, you're narrowing the field of acceptable evidence against you. You're narrowing your meaning. You're expanding your criteria.

That would be facts not in evidence. Since the issue at hand is whether cutting off Jacob's romance is justified, we can't consider players' reaction to the romance after the fact.

That's good news for you actually, because it means you can find me someone who doesn't canonically romance Jacob now but did two years ago.

Anyways, people did in fact romance Jacob. I think the way the romance got treated in ME3 was absolute crap, but it may have been due to the fact that yes, it was a small amount of people that romanced him, but it happened nonetheless.

Actually, narrowing the criteria would make the task more difficult. When you said that nobody romanced Jacob, one could just find any fan site or blog or whatever that suggested otherwise, like, for example, youtube videos uploaded by users that at least show that someone out there tried this romance, and even imported this romance into the next game to get the appropriate content on the subject. But, for some reason, it must now be strictly active users within BSN, because of....reasons?

Anyway, this is stupid. It would only be accurate to say that Jacob's romance is unpopular, not nonexistent.

Especially since many users would have multiple Shepards with multiple LI's, if they bother to explore the romance aspect of the game at all.

I wonder how many players went back and canceled out their Jacob romance when they learned of the fate of the relationship.

How would bioware know which of my playthroughs was canon anyway? I don't recall a survey.
