Weapon balance doesn't matter because this isn't a PvP game?

It matters but to a lesser degree

I'm glad this conversation is over.

Dual wielding is objectivly stupid. You expend twice as much ammo at three times worse accruacy.

But you get twice as many style points.

and in the end, isn't that what really matters?

Gameplay should always be the priority of game design. If a feature exist for no other reason than to be cool, it doesn't need to be there.

You can be cool and efficient at the same time. Also... It makes sense to use a primary weapon and dual wield, let's say.. Eagles.

It never makes SENSE to dual wield, but as it's said: gameplay should be priority.

It damn sure made sense to dual wield G-13s and Raficas in CoD... As primary weapons no less. Dual wielding isn't about accuracy, it's about extreme mobility while hipfiring and spraying. Good luck hitting a halo jumping, dropshotting dual wield SMG user with your 3 round burst or semi auto accuracy weapon in close quarters... I saying dual wielding isn't viable is the same as saying shotguns aren't viable. They fill the same niche.

You are correct of course. I meant "make sense" in real world scenario sort of way. Hence the gameplay first comment.

Go watch your movie so I don't have to listen to your terrible opinions.

If your entire team puts their stock in the same strategy, then you guys made a bad call. Variety should be in part be vital to success.

But that isn't fair.
You can't introduce a new feature, and then punish people for using it.

And do you really expect strangers to work co-operatively together? Especially after seeing what pugs do in this game already.

Seems odd to be playing a game designed around cooperation with no intent to cooperate.

ikr.

It's like buying a ham sandwich, with no intention of eating it.

One of the things I forgot to mention was one handed and two handed weapons. Guns don't have to go away, at all. But I would like to carry another type of weapon too, instead of just another gun. It doesn't have to be limited to melee weapons only. What if we could equip Ballistic Blades X on our N7 Slayer Drell (just to go a bit nuts)? Or, what what about having the Omni-Bow and Omni-Shield on an Infiltraitor?

I doubt Geth would have any issues dual wielding anything, they are walking aimbots, literally; having a n AR like power on a geth that enables dual wielding due some higher processing power space magic, should supply all the style and substance points so everyone can be happy.

Personally I'd like to see more melee options, soldiers today are still trained in advanced hand to hand combat; enough of the galaxy's finest swinging their guns around like baseball bats, maybe some throws, human shield...I dunno..things.

I'm always in favor of adding MORE space-karate to anything. I mean, just think about how awesome Fried Green Tomatos would have been with space-karate?

But at the same time, I don't think a judo flip is going to impress the average Abomination...

The only reason he was in the Sherwood forest was to pull off the most daring robbery of all time.

I think we should be able to decide which type of weapons we bring into battle.

I wish there would be 3 types of weapons. Guns for those that want to shoot everything. Omni-tools for those that want to play only with powers (biotic or tech). Melee weapons for those that want to impale or decapitate everything.

There could be some cross-play between those, I would love to see Pull + Melee punch detonates a biotic explosion...

This... And dual wielding.

Dual wielding is objectivly stupid. You expend twice as much ammo at three times worse accruacy.

Doesn't matter at point blank range. Would be awesome on Vanguards... Dual wielding punishers.. ohh yeah. How about double pistols with bayonets on a Shadow type character? Dual wielding rocks... L2P scrub.

Lookout for the dual talon GI world!

Oh my :o

I'll admit, there are some characters that I wonder why the heck I have gun with me, the Krogan Warlord Sentinel being one of them. Sure, I like taking pop-shots every now and then, especially when I'm stuck in a hack or escort, when things are far outside of range. If it wasn't for the melee mods on it, I'd be happy to toss it aside and charge in the field ala Grunt, shouting "I. AM. KROGAN!"

Tantum speaks of his religious duties in the Hegemony. Please, no one touch the collection plate. (And yes, I laughed. A lot)

I shout that no matter what the occasion. It feels right. Also, I have to constantly remind people that it is my planet.

I just hope I never have to use it.  I would never be able to explain why I'm giggling.
