Why is FB Condor so unpopular?

Condor's layout is just many long rectangular area put together. With little cover to break up the exposed stretches, it's very easy to get pincered in there and it becomes very hard to break through without burning consumables.
Reactor, Glacier, and White are much worse with their cramped areas.

I don't mind the map though.

Do you understand, that those are three well-balanced maps actually?
Condor have a lot of glitches, though the worst part of it are breaches in cover which expose you to enemy LoS. Visually I like the map though.

No they're not "well-balanced". Very cramped and narrow areas which make it much easier to be overrun by enemies. The only serious glitch I've experienced on Condor is the ammo boxes but that hasn't ever prevented me from doing well in team or solo gold games.

Geth Primes can shoot you from pretty much anywhere, it's not fun. Plus it's just very grey and boring to look at, makes Tuchanka look like a holiday resort.
Looks like a pretty cool map to me:

2. Ammo boxes don't give ammo, frustrating as hell on Platinum
3. Bugs ( as mentioned above)
4. People don;t know where to take cover, they usually run through the middle and it's a dying-revival fest
5. It's a big map, not good for speed runs
6. some objectives are almost impossible to do ( devices in the middle or hack on the bottom vs Collectors )
7. enemies blend in with the environment, making them hard to spot.

TBH though, the landscape is dope and I like the layout, but it's screwed up so no.

But buggy ammo boxes aside, I will give you the real rap on this map just from today's experience. Dida and I were trying to do one of Prestacious's duo challenges, one that calls for Reapers on Condor. Out of 6 attempts, the game loaded straight into a "you have been disconnected" screen for both of us 4 times.
Yes, that means we literally only got to play twice out of all those attempts just to merely LOAD into the map.
And that is one of many reasons why Condor is so unpopular. Contrast that to, say, Hazard Reactor, where we loaded in just fine with no problems three times in a row.
Granted, that may be compounded by the fact that we play the Twilight Zone version of this game (PS3), but you still gotta admit only loading 2 out of 6 times is awful. No other map gives that sort of trouble and my internet connection is stellar. Stayed connected to the Internet the whole time; it was the game itself that booted us back to the main menu all those times.

That tracks with my experiences on the map on xbox so I don't think it's any worse on PS3. I've had a good run of luck loading into Condor ok in the last few days but I'd venture I maybe make it into half of the games that turn out to be Condor in general. I can always tell which map I'm not loading into by the sound effects. Never had this problem on any map other than Condor.

This post in correlation with your signature makes me chuckle.
