(aka sub-scrubs everywhere!)

An AIU that goes down every wave but never uses Repair Matrix.
A TGI/Harrier sporting a BotB banner that fails to kill anything. Still nukes wave 11, though.
A Juggernaut that does nothing apart from meleeing enemies.

All this in the same lobby that is preset to White/Geth/Gold...

What were your most predictably awful PUG lobbies/games? Have you ever encountered a PUG lobby that resembled the definition above?

Throw in the Geth trooper+Acolyte, and I wouldn't be able to remember the last PUG lobby I saw without at least one of them.

I'm wondering what atrocities could PUGs generate if the game supported six- or eight-player lobbies.

I think that could get really messy. More players to screw things up.

Human Engineer with Combat Drone
Novaguard with Katana
White Cerberus Gold

We still got Full Extraction in 22 minutes. The team stuck with me like glue.

i can't say I've seen those kits in EVERY PUG lobby of mine truthfully.
but every other? definitely.

I can't recall all the irritations caused by lobbies featuring these kits.
in fairness there have been some decent users of the AIU/TGI/Juggy/Flamertrooper in my pugs.
and I'm usually grateful when I find these ppl, as I don't have to worry so about clutching.

Melee AIUs that finish with 10 melee kills

Had a pug tell me the other day that the Juggernaut was the most powerful kit in the game, and his Human Infiltrator was a really weak character that couldn't kill anything.

You didn't mention how the 4th player was also a scrub.

Not authentic.

Combat Drone is quite handy against Cerberus, Phantoms just love commiting suicide with it.

What's predictable to me is that the one of the four players will drop out immediately after their first death, and that slot will be filled briefly by at least one more ragequit before someone stays or no one else comes along at all.

Reegar AIU. Reegar AIU. Reegar AIU.

...And somehow none of them managed to do anything except run up to spawns and die.

Recently I have encountered a few pugs using the AIU, they wouldn't use tac-cloak or repair Matrix and would often get downed and bleed out in most waves.

Predictably awful pugs usually kick me from the lobby so I don't play with them.

Dying on the opposite side of the map when everyone is doing the hack objective. Then another player goes to revive him and they both die. They don't use medigels because it is sacriledge.

Reegar AIU
Harrier TGI
Melee Juggernaut

And my Claymore Huntress. TGI nuked spawns on w11, AIU went down a ton and never gelled, Juggy stood in the middle of the map with his fist in the air.

I see a lot of Furys with GPMG's, Executioners, Acolytes, always ULM and power amps on everything, spamming dark channel and throw, seldom is ever using annihilation field.

Man...I don't usually care what somebody else wants to play at any given moment. I've gone through entire Gold matches without once paying attention to what someone else was playing.

With that being said, I do wonder about Juggernauts. They're hard to miss with their fists in the air. Every so often, you just gotta steal some shields from an enemy. I get it. But I wonder if they get pissed off when I shoot the thing they're draining. I mean, with enemies like Phantoms or Banshees and that sort of thing. The rest of the team will die of old age before Juggs finishes off that Banshee one bar at a time. I'd kinda like to finish this match before a new, dominant form of life evolves on Earth and takes all of our stuff.

For me, it's less about the kits used and more about the tactics used. Often, the only way to learn is by doing, but as someone else pointed out, when a guy routinely runs to the other side of the map during an objective and gets killed (and refuses to or is unable to gel), stuff like that becomes irritating.

The authentic PUG experience to me is guys who won't equip gear or consumables in a lobby. That's way more irritating than the characters they wish to play. I can dig it if you don't have anything to equip. But that's why God invented Bronze.

I always feel bad when I see a Jugg who, yes, uses his melee too much, but is getting swarmed by every brute, ravager and banshee on the map while his partner just shoots everything else (two man squad type of runs). That's why I has missiles (and you usually get a kill streak out of it so that's fun). I turned a corner in a Giant game to see the poor juggy go down under two brutes, two banshees, a ravager and I think I handful of marauders, while the AIU with him kept shooting every cannibal and husk in the surrounding area. My Huntress and the Fury I was running with both stuck closer to the poor jugg after that. It slowed things down since it meant we were essentially camping but that AIU was nucking futs.

It's like I'm watching some perverted version of BSN advice; people tell you not to focus on the critter Juggy is drawing aggro from but to kill the other threats instead and this AIU took it waaaaaaaay too far.

It's just a safe way to play Fury, especially if you run without consumables.
I've played Fury with Arc Pistol doing most of damage by DC+headshot, and using AF+Throw only for defence. According to scoreboard, it's still an effective way to play.

I actually don't seem to find many TGIs, AIUs, or Geth Flamers. Just lots of melee Juggernauts and Volus that chase me around all game making me melee every couple of seconds to make my gun work again.

I actually had TWO Volus chasing me around once after I soloed most of wave 7. Guess they figured they better keep me alive, but it caused more harm than good. And please DON'T use your HM to protect me while I am doing the device...

Hmm, just played a match with a melee Juggernaut, a Volus Vanguard with the Bat-glove, and a Drell Adept who, as far as I could tell, never threw grenades at anything except husks and swarmers. An when he threw grenades, he threw ALL the grenades. One husk? Lets lob four bunches of grenades at it!
