Turning the size issue around, Sten being twice the size of my Female Aeducan didn't make me not want to romance him if we'd been allowed to and I'd definitely romance a Dwarf as a Qunari Inquisitor.

As for the "realism" argument, those people realise that tall people date shorter people all the time, right? My grandfather was over 6ft and my nan was 4'10, so half my family consists of either insanely short or very tall people. Unless these people believe I'm imagining most of my extended family... I think I rest my case!

Oh BSN, your Insane Troll Logic is a wonder to behold!

Yeah! Dwarves are literally the perfect height for, uh... Oral. While standing. You know? They don't even need to crouch.

I dare anybody to look at Bianca from the DA comics (as illustrated by Chad Hardin) and tell me they wouldn't romance a female dwarf.
This is Bianca as Varric remembers her (if you've read the comics, please don't give away any spoilers -- I've whited out any dialogue that might do that just in case)  :)

I really don't understand the problem with it when dwarfism is something that occurs in real life and it is not really unusual for a person of standard height to be in a relationship with a little person.

I've presumed Bianca is dead.I'm sure the answer is in a wiki somewhere if that's not the case.
I haven't read any of Gaider's books or comics.

Presume away. I'm just going to quote myself to cover my tracks. :)

It was never stated that she was dead

Mary herself hinted at her being alive

We both know that's not how dwarven females look in game.

We don't, though.

We haven't seen lady dwarves since DA:O. Everyone else has gotten a redesign. Even the human females look significantly different between games.

These 2 pictures should give you a good idea, though. Make her shorter and add a cup size = pretty much dwarf. She would look better than the ones in DA:O put still not like the one in the comics.

Does it really matter how they look? I'm not sure it's relevant to whether they should be romanceable . But yeah, of course dwarves should be romanceable....I don't buy this concept that there would be any outrage (not any more so than any other type of romance).

Me neither, but then again my country tried to ban flat-chested porn, simply because they look a bit like children.

It's possible it could be misunderstood in the opinion of some.Outrage is way too strong a word for it.:pinched:

Talk about timing.

I suppose it could, but that hasn't stopped Bioware from adding potentially controversial romances before. I can't imagine it being more controversial than LGBT romances, considering someone would really have to stretch the imagination to compare dwarf love to a child.

People here in the US stretch their imaginations quite a bit.lol.
I'm not against dwarf romances.I thought the male dwarfs were too ugly, so I never played a male dwarf warden.
Did play female dwarf wardens twice.
Not interested in romancing Varric.Ok if others want to.
Some people want Sigrun back, others want Dagna, or maybe even shale turned from golem to dwarf.
Doubt Sigrun, shale, or dagna will be party members but we'll see.:innocent:

Oh I know that for a fact :)

However; I don't think Bioware should take its ques from extreme factions within society. They've done a good job holding their ground on LGBT content, and so should they ignore any potential attempts at perverting their portrayl of dwarves.

I don't see the problem with having dwarves as LIs - to each his own. I do, however, question the need of making "will we be able to romance X" and "wouldn't it be awesome if we could romance Y" threads on a daily basis.

It's be so awesome to have Sigrun back. Especially as a LI. Doubt it'll happen though. Dagna would be great too. She's already confirmed to be in the game (although I highly doubt she can fight). If they wanted to introduce Dagna as the first non companion full fledged LI it's be great. Best option would be a brand new character then I guess.

I'd loooooove to romance Varric and his chest hair. He looks so good in DAI.

I always ingore Dagna. An exalted march gets called if you help her (same thing when you help that dwarven chantry person), so I ignore both quests... Then again, we hear nothing about that in DA2. So maybe that was one of the ending panels that ended up just being "a rumor", so maybe I should do those quests sometime.

This. Especially when it's every random thrown away pc who brings literally nothing to the table but a plate.

Now all we need now is to have a option to romance Biance ( the dwarven lady, not the crossbow), just to show Varric who is the Paragon of Manliness.
