1. Subject Zero trailer launched
2. Significant fanbase backlash, polarisation of haters and lovers.
3. Percentage of Subject Zero supporters who were players with an renegade FemShep looking for a good f/f partner: 80%? 90%?
4. Confirmation that Subject Zero is hetero.
5. Quantity of supporters for Subject Zero: -50%? -75%?

Percentage of evil Femshep players who were planning to focus solely on ensuring themself and Subject Zero survived ME2 as a couple prior to announcement, laughing evilly as most of the other squad mates were murdered horribly: very high!

Percentage of evil Femshep players who are now planning to focus solely on ridding themself of Subject Zero because she will now be more like an annoying rival and constantly remind them of how much more fun Liara was: very high!

Poor Subject Zero. She had the makings of such a fanatical fanbase and it's all now been blown away.

To the original poster - The non-hetero relationships are not an afterthought. I don't want to talk about details really, because its a company issue and not something its my place to talk about. The lack of one in this game doesn't say anything about our willingness to do it. It has nothing to do with our moral stance on the issues, or our corporate bosses.



Look at Dragon Age and Dante's Inferno for that, and the success of "The Ballad of Gay Tony" - video games aren't afraid to touch gay issues.



Don't kick Subject Zero out. At least finish her story quest. She's a good character.
