So its been a long time since i last played and was wondering if Qwinns fixpack is still "The" fix pack mod to use?

That one's definitely good for fixing the mechanics of the game (ie, damage modifiers and buffs calculating points correctly).

For fixes with plot flags, epilogue slides and dialogue lines, however, use ZDF and MRP.

Altogether, I think the game should function pretty much as intended.

I was sort of curious as well, two things mainly. The first, could these mods be added in the middle of a game without breaking it? Additionally, how can I tell if the mod is installed / working (ZDF in particular)? Do I drop them in "E:\\Program Files\\Steam\\SteamApps\\common\\Dragon Age Ultimate Edition\\packages\\core" or "C:\\Users\\Gregory\\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override"?

It depends on the mod, which basically come in two types.

One will be a bunch of files (like *.ncs, *.uti, *.utc, *.gda, *.dlg ... etc) bundled together. These go in your override folder.

The other is a .dazip, which acts as a module and needs to be installed. Run daupdater.exe (in the bin_ship folder wherever DA:O was installed), then install the dazip with that.

In "My Documents" or "Program Files"?

Also, can I make sub-folders in the override to organize my mods? Also, rather than making a new post, I'm wondering if there is a simple way to check to see if the fix pack is installed / dialogue fixes are installed, I'm early in the game so I can't tell if they are actually implemented or not.  ** Nevermind, I'm an idiot, I tested the "show items" function and it works. ***

Technically either should work, though it's usual to put them in docs (that's where the toolset exports stuff to).

Hi! I am happy to see that I am not the only one still in love with this game. I was wondering you mean to install the suggested patch together with qwinn's one or the latter is supposed to be installed in place of the first?

Thanks for clarifying!!

Both together, not instead of. They do diferent things (qwinn's is mostly plot-related fixes, core rules is combat fixes)

Ok, now I understand. Concerning the core rules patch, it is made of several directories for different patch/fixes. Do you suggest installing only the "fix" ones, excluding the tweaks? Or some specific subfolders in the package? Thanks a lot!

Whatever you want/feel like. It's modular for that reason, really.

However, I thought I read there was something about how Qwinn's fixpack may have compatibility issue with patch 1.5 ( I still got patch 1.4). Not sure how true that is though.

Qwinn's breaks the landsmeet in 1.5. But it's simple to deactivate it before and reactivate after.

Does it? How? I'm pretty sure I've played through the Landsmeet with Quinn's and Patch 1.05...

... I think.

If you don't recruit loghain, alistair still goes missing from your party. Which is quite a problem.
