Fair enough, and that is your choice.

That'a an exception that proves the rule.

Surprised David has shown up yet.
Too challenging and too subjective.
You know how he likes things easy and heroic.

Out of curiosity, what is your definition of "hero"?
Self-sacrificial person, who does things for the greater good.

Putting aside for a moment the fact that said definition is apotentiallydangerous one, there have been such people throughout history and are commonplace in everyday life. You probably won't find them wielding a sword or casting a spell though.

Assuming that I don't already.
In that case, even in fiction there are no heroes. Every hero in fiction has enemies who won't view him/her as a hero.KainD wrote...

No because, there is no such thing as greater good, whatever you do, someone is bound to disagree with you, and you won't be a hero for them.

Second time now, I guess I have to break it down for you:
The fact that there is an exception to there being no truth, which is the truth that there is none, it proves that there is no truth.

So, for instance, you would say that the Marines who threw themselves on grenades to save the lives of their fellows during WWII weren't heroes?
There are very few villains who are "evil for evil's sake". The vast majority have motives that they think are right. So to them, the hero of the story is actually the villain standing in the way of their "greater good".KainD wrote...

No that's exactly the thing in the fiction: Hero enemies aknowledge them as heroes, and think of themselves as the bad guys that do evil for evils sake.
