I was just thinking... My main Shepard's looks and actions were as close to me as possible. So when in ME4 you can create your own character and choose actions won't it be still in some way the same person?

Going off the thread title alone....and depending on the time frame...perhaps the shep vi will make an appearence. I don't expect that to happen...and I really doubt the "real" shep will be in any part.

If all you want from ME4 is being able to make your own character then you should be happy, but some people (not you) apparently want to see Shepard's next adventure, not just some random guy's tale (who happens to look just like Shepard).

However, they could totally have statues or something in the game based on your Shepard - maybe in the game's churches since Shepard has pretty much replaced Jesus as messiah and saviour of humanity.

The only way shep or company or his/her LI should be in ME4 is a mention in hidden artifact you dig up on some old world maybe in the ruins of Thessia or an abandoned city on Earth but no shep and company shouldn't be in ME4 at all no cameos or quest giving I don't want BW messing with them anymore then they already have.

Ok this could be funny too espcially since my last itteration of my fshep was to make her purple haired Kusanagi.

If you play this way, your Shepard is kinda present in all RPG's. Just like your Dovahkiin, your Courier, etc. etc.
I however usually don't play protagonists based on myself, but create different personalities. Sometimes I use another movie or game character as a raw model. So my Shepards won't be in ME4 for sure.
However, if the next game is a sequel, I can't imagine the events from the trilogy will be unmentioned.

Child's voice: "Yes, but the peace won't last. Soon your children will build synthetics and the cycle will begin again. Or do you think you can control us?"

Shepard: "So the Illusive Man was right after all."

Child's voice: "Yes, but he could never control us because we controlled him. You will die. You will lose everything you have."

Shepard: "But the reapers will obey me?"

Child's voice: "Yes. There is another option. Add your energy to the Crucible. You will die, but in doing so, you will create a new DNA combining synthetic and organic throughout the galaxy. Organics learn through experiencing. Synthetics learn through understanding."

Shepard: "And there will be peace?"

Child's voice: "The cycle will end. You have a difficult choice to make and little time."

Shepard: "I... don't know."

This will be in the Reaper War Memorial on the Citadel, so that no matter what ending you picked and no matter what ending they decide to make canon, Shepard will get blamed for it. "So that's why everything's a s*** pile." OR "So that's why the reapers are still around." OR "So that's why my eyes turned green all of a sudden, and my son started dating this Geth, and my daughter this marauder."

If Shepard wont be the main protagonist of ME4 i would like to see Shepard walking hand-hand with Miranda in the backround of some cutscene that would be really cool...

Assuming that will be a sequel and they import the endings in my case destroy.

But I thought everything was all hunky-dory in all three endings?
