So I know there is a thread for this already in the tech support sub-forum, but for some bizarre reason I can’t post anything there. Either way my questions are simple and I thank anyone who can help.

1; has anyone gotten proper native support with a 360 controller to work? I mean total support, not partial.

2; is it possible to just download the proper fix instead of having to manually alter the files myself, and if so where can I find what I need to download?

Addendum: I’m also looking for voice recognition if possible.

I have looked high and low and I cant find any hack or tweak for native support. There is a lot of partial ones, but they always require a 3rd party app to go with it.I gave up.Now, I use Pinnacle Game Profiler and it works perfectly. I had to tweak one of their existing ME3 profiles, but it works exactly the way I want it to, and its super easy to do. I also have Xpadder, and Pinnacle works SO much better than that. They have a free version, but I don't remember if it is a timed trial, or what. I know it's fully functional though. I played FEAR, FEAR 2, and ME3 with it and I was sold. It's also 50% off for Christmas right now, $9.99.
I am actually glad I found this... it even works better than native support, because you can map a "shift" button that allows you to put two commands (even the dual commands) on each button. It's friggin awesome :P
Let me know if you end up doing it and want my profile.

Here is my layout. The first is the standard controls, the second screen with the blue letters is when you hold the [shift button] down, in my case, the left shoulder button.

Interesting and thanks for the reply. But with the lack of native controller support I think I'll just stick with my xappder profile, at least I am used to. Still aiming with a controller is a real pain without some form of aim assist, any ideas for that? Analog sticks just aren't any good at lining up precision shots rapidly.

Yep, there is an aim assist tag in the coalesced.bin, if you are ok with editing it. I forget what it's under exactly, but all I did was do a search in every ini file in there until I found "aimassist" and set it from "false" to "true". I think it was in biogame.ini but I am not sure.

Issue with adding native support is that the UI would need to be redone to be more like the 360/PS3 copy of the game as the PC went for a more mouse friendly look. There was a project to add native support which ran into the same issue as there is no way to effectively control the PC UI, however movement firing your weapon ect worked and i think you could navigate the squad menu correctly here the link. So that may be an option to investigate

Oh and for the Voice stuff Smartdeck textures page has a link there for something not quite sure what it does (I don't know much about the topic) but might be worth a look.
