I have just about figured out what new gen system I am going to purchase and more than likely it will be an Xbox One. DAO is on my PS3 and my DA 2 is on my Xbox 360. So saying that I would like to play DAI on X1 and wanted to know does anyone have any idea if Bioware will let you import DA data from X360 to the X1 or for that matter PS3 to PS4? Personally i dont see why not with the cloud but thats just my opinion. Please answer and thanks in advance!

I would imagine so, yes. The cloud is more likely going to simply read your save game file in whatever format it was on, then use the data to populate the fields. You can then probably edit or make any changes and then save it/download it to the format of your new platform.

Don't quote me on that, but that would be the logical thing for them to do.

Right now the plan is to use Dragon Age: Keep and not have any importing at all, they are currently looking into to see if its possible to import to Dragon Age: Keep, but at this time you have to select the variables here manually.

As far as using the cloud you have to remember that the version that both Sony and Microsoft use are their secure networks and would have to allow BioWare to access the data from there and to me that would open up a lot of security concerns.

Link

Edit: One of the reasons for Dragon Age: Keep is to fix some of the corrupted variables in the game as well that are currently in the save files, such as Zervan being alive when you killed him in Dragon Age: Origins.

At least at this juncture it looks like there won't be any true "importing" of your previous saves, even on the same platform. It's all going to be handled by the DA Keep and you'll have to manually enter all your decisions online.

thank you for the answers! That DA Keep is sounding real nice honestly. As i went to the link i was a little nervous of the decision to go that route instead of importing previous saves. The DA Keep seems nice for someone like me who has two different game saves for two different systems. thanks again!
