Mass Effect Beyond

Protagonist Terry Shepard

I'd play that, especially if can break into Liara's apartment demanding answers

Every scifi universe needs some evil clones, I'm oke with that. The only thing that was disturbing to me: he had no beard.

CloneShep was a hero. He's the lone wolf we were meant to be. Down with the cult of Shepard.

Don't the Foundation comics pretty much solidify the Citadel DLC as canon? I mean if they're orld building with Brooks, then why not make that one count?

I can totally imagine it

Liara T'soni: But when you're making a Shepard, genetics is only part of the story, the rest is tragedy. Stop me if you've heard it before. You're twenty six years old. You are on a routine search and rescue mission but unknown to you a thresher maw lurks in the shadows. My plan was simple, the maw would leap out and kill your squad. The trauma would put you on the path to becoming Shepard. One problem: Admiral Hackett would not go through with it. I argued with him, but deep down, I knew he was right. People say Shepard is obsessive, that he'd do anything to achieve his goals, but he'd never resort to murder innocents. So if I was to honor all he stood for, neither could I.

Terry: And yet my squad wound up getting killed anyway. Don't you get it? No matter what you did or didn't do, I was gonna end up being Shepad's carbon copy. It was fate.

Liara T'soni: You know, the Goddess been a great comfort to me all these years. Try not to look so surprised. Yeah, I've got a lot to answer for when I meet Her, but I'd like to believe that for all the harm I've caused, I've also done some good. Maybe the angels need a sharp sword too. Her plan is a mystery, but here's what isn't. She gave us free will. We choose our own fate, for good or ill. I've known Shepard for years, and I've been keeping an eye on you your whole life. You're not Shepard's clone, you're his son. There are similarities, mind you, but more than a few differences too. You don't quite have his magnificent charisma, for instance; you do have his heart though, and for all that fierce exterior I've never met anyone who cared as deeply about his fellow man as Shepard, except maybe you. You want to have a little better life than the old man's? Take care of the people who love you. Or don't. It's your choice.

Why do clones have to be evil? Couldn't Liara restore her memory? And what if Shepard was evil already, would that make the clone good?

Clones don't have to be evil. But twins? Yes twins are always evil.

It would have actually been cool if the Citadel clone would be the opposite of your Shepard. So if your Shepard was renegade, the clone would represent paragon Shepard who'd call you out on your game choises.

It kind of worked out for me. Cloneshep is basically the same guy I was in ME1. I guess I got nicer and more alien friendly by me2.. then ME3 I was completely railroaded towards that direction anyways. Then Cloneshep comes in and tells me I'm not keeping it real.

Oh I can already see the rage flowing through BSN if we had Liara somehow rewriting the Shepard clone's mind with a backup of Shepard's memories.

You all see it! Liara creepy brainwashing ahoy!

So.. this would be memories from ME1 Shep? I wouldn't mind it. Maybe it'll open up ME1 dialogue options that let me call her obsessed and make her salute me like the insignificant henchman she is.

Wait, isn't that the same story for Batman Beyond?

edit: Oh, someone already called it.
