[Grieving Natashina]

Earlier this year, I finally picked up Origins and had a blast with it.  I largely avoided any walkthroughs and experienced a great game.  However, there was errors I made when I had my first playthrough, and I screwed myself out of the "Mega-Happy" ending.  This is my list of decisions.  Please bare in mind, I only had the core game for my first time.  I didn't get the Ultimate Edition with all the spiffy extra gifts until later.

Dwarves

King--Harrowmount.  I picked him after playing through the casteless story line.  Little did I know that Harrowmount was a tyranical prig.
Chantry was a go, as was Dagna.
Anvil of the Void was destroyed.

Elves

I actually did a decent job on this one.  I managed to get Zathrim to do the ritual.  Go me...?

Redcliffe

Isolode was very dead.  While I've gotten used to it, her voice at the time just drove me nuts.  The rest was done alright, up to and including the mayor surviving.

General

Alistair was not hardened, nor was Leliana.  I didn't even know such a thing existed!  

As a result, Alistair was not king.

 Plus, I didn't trust Morrigan any further than I could see her, so I said no to the Dark Ritual.  Poor Alistair.  Good thing Leliana was my LI for that!

So that was my first try and certainly not my cannonized playthrough.  What about you guys?  What where the decisions you made during your first try at Origins?  And what have you done differently to get ready for the import to the Keep?

Elves:
Zatharian did the ritual

Redcliffe:
I think I used blood magic to do the ritual... I managed to make everyone survive somehow though I think

Dwarves:
Harrowmount was king, Dagna was at the circle, and the Chantry was allowed in

Circle:
Saved the mages

My LI was Morrigan and I did the Dark Ritual. I also managed to bumble my way through and hardened both Leliana and Alistair so Alistair ended up king with Anora.

Dwarves: I played a dwarf noble and just couldn't stand the idea of supporting Bhelen, so I went with Harrowmont

Elves: Zathrian did the ritual

Redcliffe: Isolde sacrificed herself to save Connor

Circle: Wanted to save the mages, but couldn't figure out how to save them in the Uldred battle, so I ended up with the templars

Zevran as LI, Alistair did the dark ritual with Morrigan, and Alistair and Anora ruled together.

I cheated a bit because I had read some of the walkthrough and knew what decisions were possible but not how to accomplish them.

Circle: Spared the mages.
Redcliffe: Used lyrium from the circle to spare Isolde and defeated the demon in the fade to save Connor.
Dwarves: Bhelen king, destroyed the anvil, sent Dagna to the circle and let Burkel found a chantry.
Elves: Convinced Zathrian to lift the curse.
Haven: Preserved the Urn, killed the high dragon and let Genitivi take the news back to Denerim.

General: Human female rogue, became Princess Cousland with a hardened Alistair after the DR, killed Marjolaine and hardened Leliana.

I honestly can't realy remember eventualy got the good redclif ending saved connor and the Isode.
saved the wearwolvs.
preserved the Urn.
Spared the mages.
Anvil destroyed.
I did get all 3 endings. so its either way bit Alastair did the dirty with Morigan while i was bumping uglies with Leliana

preserved the urn (Though i did defile it first to get the reaver sub class then loaded a previous save)

Dwarves:
Anvil destroyed.
Bhelin is king

Redcliffe:
Conner saved.

Landsmeet:
Anora became queen and her father died.

Other:
Morrigan was LI.
Never met Leliana.
Slept with Zevran.
'Killed' flemeth.
Did the dark ritual so there wasn't an ultimate sacrifice.

[The Red Onion]

Elf Mage. Highest difficulty with no guides at the start. Wrong build and mismanaged companions. Overall hellish experience.

Sided with the hermit against the old tree. Brokered a compromise between werevolves and elves.

Much of Redcliffe town died in the attack. Sacrificed Isolde, went in the fade myself and made a deal with the desire demon.

Let the templar-demon couple wander off. Annulled the circle.

Made Bhelen king. Killed Caridin and then convinced Branka to kill herself. Anvil destroyed.

Killed Kolgrim. Refused to cross the fire naked, and killed the guardian. Did not spoil the ashes. Did not kill Genitivi.

Did not harden anyone. Alistair was crowned king. Loghain executed. Anora arrested.

Made [][][] with Morrigan, but otherwise had no relationships.

Saved Amaranthine and killed the Architect in Awakening.

I also made Harrowmont king I was super dismayed at the end of the game when it said he was a super traditional king or something. But the other guy seemed like such a jerk.

Elves
I think I cheated for this one? I wanted to get it right. So Zathrian did the ritual, werewolves cured, Dalish clan not slaughtered.

Redcliffe
Connor died; I thought he was already possessed and thus unsave-able at that point. And I wasn't going to let Isolde kill herself; that seemed wrong. Didn't know doing the Circle Tower quest first made this an easy out. I took Alistair's advice and went to Redcliffe first. Thanks a lot, Alistair!

General
I also didn't harden Alistair! (hur hur) I was nice to him in regards to his sister. He ruled jointly with creepy Anora. 

Dark Ritual 
I had to do the stupid DR since I didn't have enough persuasion points to convince Alistair to do it UGH. Worst gaming moment of my life.

Well that's all the major stuff I think FYI my Warden was a male Dalish with Zevran as LI.

I had no problems with quests , circle saved , Connor and his mom saved , elves and werewolves saved , Harrowmont for King , the Anvil destroyed , saved the ashes .
I remember playing the fade part from the Circle , and getting a massive headache though.

Of course things were pretty bad with companions , I think I had to kill Zev.Leliana had a imaginary romance with my pc , Sten was sulking and glaring in a corner (his qunari thing didn't make any sense to me ) Morrigan was sulking and glaring in a corner too (her survival of the fittest attitude got old pretty fast) Oghren was drunk also somewhere (I did Orzammar at the end , I had no idea what to do with a smelly dwarf ).

Turned down the Dark ritual , because well...I thought what's the worst that can happen?Riordan or my pc bites the dust , I can live with that!
So I took my romanced" soon to be king, I have to dump you now" Alistair to the final battle...and things went tragic pretty fast.

The after party was awful , I didn't like the other companions all that much..I couldn't stand Anora.
So I went all "This game is soooo laaaame!"
And of course I started another playthrough , because I had to make things right.

[Sith Grey Warden]

 <-My first warden was Faren Brosca. He didn't do all too well.

Overall
I killed Zevran without waking him after the ambush because I was paranoid.
I never got Dog because didn't find that flower in the wilds.
I never got Shale because I hadn't installed the DLC yet.
I romanced Leliana.
Neither Alistair nor Leliana were hardened.
Loghain died and Alistair became king.
I did the Dark Ritual.

At the end, my only companions were Morrigan, Alistair, Leliana, and Oghren.

Redcliff:
Saved the town, the bar owner died the barmaid got the bar. The mayor died. Killed Connor. Had already killed Jowan before that.

Circle Tower:
Saved everyone, circle not annulled.

Orzammar:
Made Harrowmont King, destroyed the anvil. No chantry, Dagna to circle.

Haven:
Kept Sten, he and my CE were besties.
Preserved the ashes.
Murder knifed Genetivi

Elves:
Zathrian did the ritual. Didn't get the two lovers together.

Grey Warden DLC:
Killed the demon. Let the grey warden mage live and do his research nicely.

Companions:
Morrigan hated me, feeling was mutual, did not do the DR. (didn't trust her and didn't want Alistair to do something he obviously didn't want to)
Hardened Alistair. Left Alistair at the gate.
Hardened Leliana.
Killed Loghain.
Had Anora and Alistair rule jointly.
Romanced both Zevran and Alistair.....didn't fully complete either romance....so I got a weird sad funeral scene.

Ah yes, my first try. Ugh.

Character:
Female city elf who flirted with both Alistair and Leliana. Wasn't in love with either of them, but couldn't bear the thought of being alone and chose Leliana in the end. Broke it off before the battle with the Archdemon.

Made Harrowmont king, destroyed the Anvil.
Sided with the werewolves.
Let Alistair kill Loghain at the Landsmeet and therefore destroyed the marriage agreement between Alistair and Anora. Unhardened Alistair became king.
Refused the Dark Ritual due to not wanting to force either Morrigan or Alistair into an encounter neither of them wanted.
Did the Ultimate Sacrifice.

And I bawled my eyes out and was unhappy for weeks after that playthrough. (Also didn't enjoy it as much as I would have liked.)

(After that, I found my perfectly happy playthrough with a male HN and never looked back.)

Bhelen was king, cured the werewolves, Connor and Isolde lived, all my companions loved me (except Shale >.<), romanced Zevran, Alistair and Anora got married, etc. And I totally did the ritual because I wanted her to have a god baby, that sounds awesome,

Oh man, my first playthrough was awful XD

Character: Female Elven Mage

Redcliffe:
"Helped" the village, by which I mean getting 90% of the defenders killed. Paid Kaitlyn 1 sovereign for the sword, found Velanna...and that's it. Didn't help Bella on account that I didn't know she could be helped, poor dear. Sacrificed Isolde with blood magic, then traded Connor's soul for Blood Magic because I wanted the spec and didn't know about the reloading trick.

The Urn:
Lost Leliana here, since my character hated the Chantry with the passion of a thousand suns and wanted to destroy what would be their most precious artifact. She then let Brother Genitivi go spread word because it would allow pilgrims to come and be eaten by a dragon.

The Circle:
Probably the only thing I did right the entire playthrough; helped the mages.

The Elves:
Killed the wolves because I was an idiot. Helped Cammen and Gheyna hook up, told that Athras guy about his wife's death.

Orzammar:
I didn't really care about the dwarves at the time, so I picked Harrowmont because his representative was closer than Bhelen's. Chose to preserve the Anvil and help Dagna, so I think you all know what happened to the dwarves as a result.

The Landsmeet:
Let Alistair duel Loghain, whom he promptly executed before I could intervene. Was planning to marry him to Anora, but since she refused, I just gave him the crown and had her locked away.

The Ritual:
Turned it down because I didn't want to force Alistair to sleep with Morrigan, then dealt the killing blow to the Archdemon.

I also missed a huge amount of sidequests, and didn't get a lot of companion quests either. I did manage to do Morrigan's quest and romance Zev, and man did that epilogue make me cry.

So basically, my Warden screwed over the dwarves, sold a kid's soul for power, gave the Chantry the bird, and died, leaving an unhardened Alistair on the throne to be manipulated by Eamon. Like I said, AWFUL first playthrough.

After that I stopped rushing my playthroughs and planned them out ahead of time. Boy, were they much better.

Circle:
Saved the mages and recruited Wynne.

Redcliffe:
Saved everyone in the town. Refused Jowan Ritual and killed Conner. Executed Jowan.

Deep Roads:
Destroyed the Anvil. Made Harrowmont King. Established a Chantry and sent Dagna to the Circle.

Elves:
Made Zathrian lift the Curse on the Werewolves. Helped the Grand Oak get its acorn back. Didn't kill the Mad Hermit.

Haven:
Did not defile the Ashes. Killed Kolgrim and the Dragon. Let Genitivi go.

Denerim Alienage:
Purged the orphanage from demonic influence. Saved the Elven prisoners and executed the Tevinter magisters and all his henchmen.

Landsmeet:
Defeated Loghain in the landsmeet with all the gatehred evidence. Defeated Loghain in personal combat. Executed Loghain. Had Alistair marry Anora (unhardened).

End Game:
Did the Dark Ritual with Morrigan.
Had the Arldom of Amaranthine given to the Grey Wardens.
Remained in service of the Grey Wardens.
Promised to travel to Par Vollen with Sten.

Companions:
Romanced Morrigan.
Recruited all companions and completed all their story arcs. Had 100 approval with all companions.

[UC SIM]

Human Male Noble, Rogue.

Slept with the elf attendant in the Origins.

Sven was not pleased.

Screwed up Oghrens relationship with his ex.

Went to Redcliff, gave tavern to the girl, got a kiss

Saved the kid in the cupboard, took his grandfathers sword, kissed his sister

saved town but lost the fat barman and the elven messenger/poisoner

went into keep, got to connor, had to go to the circle, went into the circle to find **** was messed up. Saved the mages killed lots of Templars.

saved connor. went to haven, killed the messed up cultists.

got ashes came back to Eamon.

Went to the Brasilian forest, killed the wearwolfs and elfs? Somehow really ducked that one up.

Orzammar, choose Harrowmount sided with Cairidan.

Done Dark ritual with Morrigan.

Became prince consort but had to reload save after messing it up.
