Just wondering.
Is it possible to cheese through insanity with Liara/James and the warp/incendiary glitch?

Its possible to cheese through insanity with even the Phaeston, to be quite honest
To answer your question though, yes i guess so, but there are a disappointingly low number of beefy boss enemies throughout the entire single player

I resorted to Jack and James in the mirror match of Armax. I couldn't kill the clones fast enough without the glitch. But I just finished the game with an engineer, and it was so easy just spamming powers and drones everywhere. I was just concerned about starting as an infiltrator and whether the game will be hard before I get my first good sniper rifle.

I'm gonna say 'no' for 99% of the game, just b/c too few things live long enough in SP for the DoT stack to really make a difference.

Do you have DLC weapons? If so, BPP and Indra until you can get Black Widow. If you're conservative with purchases early on, you can get the BW by Sur'Kesh.
If you've mastered Gold in MP, the SP campaign becomes laughably easy with any weapon, really. Pick your preferred type of explosion and prime/detonate your way to Harbinger...

I agree, if you are talking about bugged DOT.
Fortunately in SP you have Explosive Burst, which is its own type of cheese.

^Yup. Good luck finding an enemy in SP that will live long enough for you to stack DoT on it in any meaningful way, especially when every bullet hitting them is doing an additional 100 something AoE damage plus DoT
