I'll check, though, if that's true, it concerns me quite a lot. It seems the DA team learned a lot from what happened when they rushed a game in the past... so hopefully that's the case for the ME team as well.

I did think it was too soon for both ME4 and the new IP to be playable by now.
But it is what it is.
If those were rushed it's on them.Let's hope that's not the case.

One can only hope they get a lot of good feedback that isn't simply pandering.

Which makes me wonder what Casey's definition of "playable" is... Maybe it's just placeholder spaces you can test game mechanics in.

In the Game Informer interview (that just came out in the summer) they were talking about the new ip being "... in the early stages of exploring what we want to do." and "... exploring specific creative ideas."

Now, I get that in ME and the new ip they're incorporating a lot of RPG work that's already been done in DA for Frostbite but it feels way too soon to have turned out anything resembling a "game" in that time...

To be fair, they figured out a lot of their frostbite system during creation of ME3, so there should be a faster work process going on in comparison, now having had experience with it. Still, I can definitely understand the concern, given our past experiences with rushed games, and I'd be worried that if not done right, this game could sour the entire potential franchise that is the Mass Effect universe.
