Call me old fashioned but I prefer hard copies to digital downloads. Besides not everyone has a good enough connection to download games from Origin/Steam whatever.

I would never buy a digital download for a full rpg game.Too hard to replace if you lose your machine.I wouldn't buy a game without a disc.

I prefer physical copies of games. It makes me feel like I actually own something.

Er, it's not hard at all.

A record of your purchases is saved (and backed up) on an external server. You simply log in to your account and download them again from your new computer.

I'm with the OP. Why put bits in a box and put the box on a truck?

I would certainly hope there would be a physical copy, because Steam seems to be literally the only client that likes me.

Physical copies of the game can still be installed even if there is an internet outage, so I preffer the hard copy.

So I'm old-school.  What of it?

Im old fashioned, i like my games on disc, i like my hard cash, i like getting my news from the paper and i like driving my gas guzzling car while shouting "F**K YOU POLARBEARS". So yes, there should be a disk version for those of us that prefer the last century

It's the future. Both customers and developers are throwing away money to manufacturers, shipping, and retail. Digital downloads mean the developers get a bigger piece of the pie, which means higher quality games.

I read somewhere that out of the $60 retail price for a phyiscal copy, a developer gets about $8. With digital downloads, they get about $30. I can't back that up and admit it might be totally wrong, but there you go.

That's not necessarily true.

What is true is that games are expensive and risky, and developers are going to get more money.

That still does not guarantee a higher quality of game.

Ok  let me Put it like this     we have  alot of lack luster DLC  I dislike saying nickel and Dime  but  its true that is why Developers  have to stoop too make money and we as games are geting Screwed over that dlc is stuff that should have been in the game in the frist place  big brother retailers are geting larger slice of the pie and  places like gamestop  make even more money on used games
