Damn the holidays! A week, a whole week, without Shepard and crew. I'm not sure I can make it. Do they sell patches? ME gum? Cold Turkey is no way to go. At least I am getting some work done. But I'm afraid the DT's are about to set in. I need my Fix!

It is easy OP.

I haven't played any Mass Effect since Leviathan came out (as it was teased it would affect and/or change the ending in some way - it just glitched it out and added more Catalyst drivel) Nor have I bought any DLC beyond Leviathan. ME3 kinda killed it all for me and between the retcons and the failed dev promises about choices affecting the central conflict (and inevitably not doing so) I just gave up.

All you have to do is find another game that has amazing gameplay (ME3 had a lot of 'fun' pew pew but aside from Tuchanka and Rannoch that is it) Other fun games are:
Bioshock I, II and Infinite
Arkham Asylum & City (big emphasis on Arkham City, I love that more than ME3)
Far Cry 3 (combo those takedowns!)
Diablo III (reaper of souls looks promising from a constant pay to win grind)
Path of Exile
Starcraft II (defeat the Koreans!!!!)

Those are just to name a few!

I think by now they may actually sell ME3 gum! ^_^

I feel for you. Hell, I remember when I finally finished the trilogy - I was genuinely depressed, haha! I've played games for my whole life, but never had one that hit me so hard. I ended up trying to fend off the addiction with the multiplayer, but it was no substitute to the dialogue driven story. With Christmas out the way, I'm thinking to trying to reimmerse myself with the Dead Space series again for my sci-fi fix.

It never gets easier OP - you just learn to live with it...

I have to say that I played through ME2 many times and always I had a great fun.
This was due to strong premonition, that everything I do in ME2 will have an important effect in ME3, so I wanted to have as many different Shepards and decisions to import as possible.
When I completed ME3 and saw the ending all the incentive to replay ME3 was gone and never came back.
I only returned to play through new DLCs that came afterwards, but none of them managed to hold me for longer than a single playthough except The Citadel DLC witch was just great.

Lately I wanted to replay ME3 again with all the patches and DLCs, but damn... it feels just the opposite of when I was playing ME2. Playing the again through ME3 feels like a chore and is unpleasant, because I know that all I do in ME3 (and did before in ME1 and ME2) leads up to those wierd endings witch even after the Extended Cut don't elaborate well the fate of Shepards crew.

For ex. what did Garrus do after the end of ME3? What was his life composed of, did he return to C-Sec or reapply for Spectre training? or maybe he decided to settle down?

Same with all the other team members, aside from few screenshots we get no closure on their fate.

I hope that maybe this is because BioWare will mention on a side note to the main story of Mass Effect "4" what became of them.

I don't know.  I seem to have the opposite problem, especially now that I've finally downloaded the Genesis 2 DLC.  I really feel no need to replay ME2 because of the relative non-impact of it on the overall story as well as the gameplay that just doesn't work as well for me as either ME3 or ME1.

As far as the closure that you seek on all of your squadmates, I'd say that the point of an RPG (and admittedly ME3 lost a lot of the RPG dynamic, though not all) is to use your imagination.  If you think that BW left too many "loose threads" after the EC, I would ask you to remember the original ending where they went way overboard on the concept of an "open" ending.  My own opinion is that the EC struck the right balance of "open to interpretation" vs "spelling everything out".

As far as them being mentioned in ME "4", I'm fairly certain the only squaddie we may have a chance of running into is the only one who has a chance of living long enough (and has only a 1 in 1000 chance of dying before the end of ME3): Liara.  With ME4 coming out on the next generation of game consoles, I don't foresee BW making a big push for importability.

All the more reason they HAVE been stressing: SHEPARD'S STORY IS OVER, DONE, FINISHED.  THERE IS NO MORE TO SHEPARD'S STORY!
