So I was playing Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 Enhanced Editions and it got me to wondering. Do you guys think there would ever be anything like that for DAO? I would LOVE if they rereleased the game some day with a few new companions/romances. I know the Enhanced Editions are not done by Bioware but still I think in a few more years Bioware could make some good money doing something like this.
Any chance we will ever see a Dragon Age Origins Enhanced Edition?

Maybe in 10 years or so. I guess it would depend how they would enhance it. Most enhanced editions are just rereleasing the game in HD, but you can already play DA:O in HD.

Imagine if they rebooted Origins as an open-world game with the Frostbite engine...

I think making it open world would ruin greatly what makes DA:O so great. But honestly, i do find some of the textures and even certain effects to be lackluster. Even compared to DA 2. It would be nice to have some higher resolution textures and better world detail/models

They aren't Square-Enix who recently re-released FFX/X2.

Maybe at some point like on next-gen consoles so that people who only have those can play Origins, but I don't see it happening any time in the near future. Origins still holds up quite well so that would be too soon. I wouldn't want a remake to be "open-world" though. Origins works really well the way it is and not every game needs to be open-world.
