Sorry, but I don't feel any guilt towards what I said, nor do I have much compassion/understanding towards people that "self destruct" because hostility is projected towards them ..
Life is difficult for everyone, and we ALL have our hardships and challenges. It's up to us to adapt and overcome, and if we don't, we must accept the consequences..
Your friend chose the path of weakness....no one hanged him, he hanged himself.
And if you find me to be an insensitive ****** for stating the truth........well I can live with that..
I didn't know that you were a troll, Mordigan, I remember talking reasonably to you in the old forums. Oh well, just goes to show how wrong first impressions are.
Life is difficult for everyone, yes, but is it equally difficult? Do you presume that you've faced as many hardships as, say, the earthquake victims of Haiti? You have no idea what other people might go through, yet you still think you have the right to judge them? That's beyond arrogant.
Furthermore, do you really believe that we are we all equally capable of enduring these hardships? Would you laugh at a man without legs because he couldn't make the bus in time? You seem to think that it's somehow his fault that he has an impairment and that he's somehow "weak" for not overcoming this disability.
Of course, you'll tell me that that's different, since those people didn't choose for those things to happen to them. You basically claim that modern psychology has no meaning and that mental disabilities are "fake". Well, I have news for you.
Depression is real. It's clinically proven. If you deny the possibility of someone being depressed enough to hang themselves, you might as well deny that the leg-less man can't walk. Do you really think people just go and hang themselves for no good reason at all? It takes a lot of **** to push a person that far. I won't call committing suicide brave, but it definitely takes a lot to make that decision.
I can tell that you've never been bullied, or at least been bullied *enough* to realize how big an impact it can have on your life. Even more so, I can tell that you've never had anyone close to you commit suicide. While I don't want to wish that horror upon anyone, I think that would be the only way for you to properly understand the offensiveness of what you're saying. Like I said, I can only hope that you'll grow up eventually, and realize the foolishness of what you're saying.
To everyone else, I realize that this is very off-topic, and I apologize for that. This is just something that I feel very strongly about. (Those who have experienced this will know what I'm talking about.) Thank you for your understanding.
I've already stated my preference for Hale. I'm sure Meer is a very nice and talented man, and I do think he's done a great job, I just prefer a female character.
