Who did you guys choose to determine the future of the dwarves? I'm curious to see how it will play out in this game with the two different kings. According to the end sequences the Dwarves prosper with Bhelen and become cut off, isolationists with Harrowmont.

This isn't really a DAI topic.
"We don't know" is literally all the answer we have.

I wasn't asking what will happen. Just asking who you chose.

I already cheated and knew Bhelen would be better so I just made crap up in my head about how my warden overheard conversations from Dust Town and Harrowmont's criers and sympathized with the castless being a City Elf.

Which is exactly why this belongs in the DA:O forums.
Sorry if I'm coming off rude, but it's true.

Bhelen: Bad Man, Good King
Harrowmont: Good Man, Bad King
I went with Bhelen.

I went with Harrowmont for my Aeducans and Bhelen for my Broscas of course. For my non dwarves it was random.

Lately Bhelen without the anvil, even if he is a murdering bastard since he's a much better king and gives the dwarves a better chance. Hawrrowmont is a weak king, dies without the anvil, they become isolationists, further restricts the castes and kills a lot of them, etc, doesn't he also loose the golem army and a war starts aswell due to branka.

As my main character, my warrior chose Harrowmont because he felt like the good guy choice and so on but with my mage I chose Bhelen.

Chose Bhele and gave him the Anvil.

I'm not sure how much we'll see Orzammar. I'm more expecting Kal-Sharok (spelling?) and they aren't on the best of terms with Orzammar.
I asked around and picked Bhelen for the save I'm carrying over anyway.

The old Aristocrat. If the Dwarves become too strong, they may start dominating the surface.
^ Can you see their relations or should I write a long paragraph stating the obvious?

We might see both of them in DAI, we are going back to Fereldan and the Frost Back pass is an area in DAI and Cadash is a background for Dwarves.

I chose Bhelen. Harrowmount does not rule for long if you choose him and despite being nice, he is a weak ruler and his isolationism will only speed up the demise of the dwarves of Orzammar.

I was so disappointed we couldn't rule Orzammar in Origins...dragonflight288 wrote...

With a dwarf noble who got framed in the beginning, Harrowmount was the logical choise. I would have liked to try to get the throne to the warden, but that was not possible. With commoner dwarf, usually Behlen, with others, one or the other.

Those forums are dead, they need to merge all the DA forums into 1. I dont get why people like you care whether it has anything to do with this specific chapter of the seriesEntropicAngel wrote...

Anyway it's possible we'll be hearing from The King of Orzammar again considering they rule the kingdom that supplies all the lyrium...Kind of an important thing to consider with the Mage/Templar conflict going on. So maybe it is DAI related?

My Dalish chose Bhelen, mostly because I knew he would be a better king and it fit with the politically naive character I was playing to take him at his word without realizing what scum he could be.

Probably won't see orzamar again. Kal sharok maybe. Would be nice to see their king. If they have one.

It was always a brilliant dilemma, or at least I always thought so.
Bhelen, the sibling-murdering/framing bastard that goes to extreme lengths to secure his desired position as King, is actually what's BEST for Orzammar, as his views and action prove to lead to a prosperous time in terms of wealth and acceptance among the dwarven people and outsiders (or surfacers as they say).
Harrowmont, the kind and well intentioned man who is chosen by the late King Aeducan himself, being the worse choice, as the assembly beats him to a political corner and he doesn't have the stones to rise up and force change. Ends up isolating Orzammar more than over and inciting further political disputes and rites among the kingdom.
The good man who makes a terrible king, or the terrible man who makes a good king?
Personally, in my first and main playthrough I chose Harrowmont and I'm going to stick with that choice. It was my organic desicion that has its consequences, consequences that none of us could've seen coming.

I went with Bhelen.
I just love how harrowmont goes as good man just because he is lawful sure he may be obsessed about dwarves laws but he isn't good guy.Guy is just pri*** that hate casteless.
Both are di*** but at least behlen try improve others life not mindlessly follow dwarven abusive laws.

Oh, I also left the Anvil to NOBODY haha. Nobody deserves that kind of power, let alone those stone-headed dwarves.
I doubt we'll be able to go to Orzammar or any other dwarven kingdom in Inquisition, but I'm sure our desicion from Origin will at least be mentioned, if not impact, our possible alliance between the Dwarves and the Inquisitor's army.

The funny thing was I always knew Bhelen would make a better king, his ideas and after playing the dwarf noble origin his ruthless intellect is what Orzammar needed. But yah know it was set up in such a traditional way that I just assumed putting Harrowmont on the throne would result in the Good Ending and then... it didn't. It was nice, definitely one of the better choices in DAO.
