Torturing DAII Anders to find out where Awakenings Anders went.
Basically what Trevor did to that poor guy in GTA V.

That Warden taking off an amulet is our Warden companion.
Right. But in the dev update video the player character is decked out in warden armor...maybe playing as a companion? Would it be very far fetched to say the inquisitor could also be a grey warden?
So my Hawke was a Grey Warden after he put on some armor?
True. I see your point, but I think a grey warden would make a cool inquisitor. They start from a fairly neutral perspective politically, and have the battle skills and combat experience to lead well. Plus, they are sworn defenders of thedas. It would seem counter intuitive for them to be active against a blight, but not use that elite skill set to defend the world against veil tears and a war that threatens to tear everything to shreds. Makes some sense, no?

They're all on a fishing trip, all of them, from all of Thedas, that's why they can't help you.
They will be toasting marshmallows over a campfire while the burns.
happy holidays everybody.

How did I miss this thread?
I just can't imagine the wardens as the bad guys. I can see how Janeka would go unnoticed among the wardens but no one would look at Larius and think he was normal. I think he should have looked more like Sophia Dryden if he had been tainted so long but that's just me.
I can see the wardens wanting to get a toehold in the lyrium market since the blight is over but don't forget that the wardens were planning their own expedition into the deep roads at the very beginning of the game, which was how Anders got his maps. I think if the wardens are looking into lyrium it's because it's profitable, not because it's red.
Time shall tell.

I think there are possessed wardens/corrupted wardens.
I think Janeka while not possessed evidently at the start of Legacy had been corrupted by something, probably by the DAI protagonist.
The Inquisitor needs an uncorrupted warden to learn how extensive the corruption is and to weed it out. That's why a warden will be a party member.<_<

Wait...someone brought up "The Calling," is that one of the comic book adaptations?
Well, I'm glad my theory holds water, I've never heard of that before you brought it up.

I think their looking for "Individuals" like the Architect and Corypheus so that they can destroy the taint... from the source.
They plan to pierce the veil and destroy the Black city.
