I don't know why I never picked up on it, but I am at the part in ME2 where you recruit mordin and he gives you a gun. The same gun you use to shoot him in ME3

If you have a Paladin you use that instead, but otherwise yeah, it brings it full circule ;_;.

But if you shot Wrex in ME1, you don't have to shoot Mordin. You can do the ultimate renegade, let Eve die in the tower, and talk Mordin into faking the cure - gain full Salarian AND Krogan support.

I liked almost everyone. I'm such a freaking softie; I can't even bring myself to kill Wrex or Mordin "for science" just to see what happens. I have to rely on YouTube for that.
