I'd just like to start a topic saying that I personally love Mark Meer as Commander Shepard (and Jennifer Hale does a wonderful job as well, but that's for another topic!). Feel free to chip in if you feel the same!

Mark Meer was one of the biggest surprises ever. When I listed to the Unclegamer Radio, I couldn't believe that was Shepard. He had my affection from.



UGR: "What was your favorite line?"



Meer: "Well, I think Shepard's Catchphrase was 'I have to go', I recorded that line the most."

I agree.  He did a fine job with the original ME and I think after this trilogy is over he will go down as one of the best voice over actors in the industry.

Well, I agree, he totally got me with "Let's end this" line in the very end of ME. It really reflected everything I felt in that moment, every single detail. Kudos to Mark!

A lot of people seem to think he's too stoic but as I'm replaying ME1, I'm liking him more and more. Looks like he did an even better job in the sequel.

Awesomely funny. My favourite part was where Jesus flew really fast around the world. Anyway, I liked his performance as Shepard. I wouldn't accept anyone else. Is it just me, or is it really weird seeing other people posting their Shepards? Some look kinda similar to mine, but I've seen none that were identical and loads that looked completely wrong. It's probably just because I'm used to it, but imagining Shep's voice coming out of their mouths just seems... wrong.



The reason I bring it up, is because having any other voice but Mark Meer's come out of my Shepard's mouth would be even weirder. He is Shepard, it's as simple as that.

There are some lines that are delivered by Mark that make me cringe but some are just spot on. I always think of Feros Hales delivery of "No firing on the colonists" and I can imagine Wrexing saying "Yeah, whatever"



Vs Meers version of the line where I think Wrex would be more like "WHat are you looking at me for! I am holding grenades I swear Tali wanted to shoot them!"
