I usually get invited back... But I almost always leave preset lobbies... Especially ones set to Cerberus and Geth.

95% of pug lobbies I've encountered are set to reapers/U or reapers/Giant

Boogie always ditches me after one game.. I think he likes having scrubby pugs worship him.

I saw a gold lobby set to Giant/Reapers yesterday.

I cried in the car.

I got a message the other day when I left a lobby with an AIU Reegar and Talon cain spammer. Nothing obscene, just funny to get a message questioning why you left a lobby.

How dare you?!

I tried not to feel bad but I couldn't help myself:P

I actually got some hatemail in the past over hatesurfing lobbies. But generally it's usually N7 103, CP 35's asking me why I left, but you do get the odd ones who get genuinely butthurt over it. I guess they enjoy being carried and getting free credits.

LOL! I would have been depressed for days if I saw that! :pinched:

Well think about it. A guy just rolls in your lobby and he is better than anyone you've ever played with. Kills everything, never says a word, and just leaves. People reactions can range from jealousy, amazement, to 'that guy is a cheater'.

Of course since boogerman is a scrub I can't explain his messages :)

I leave if they look sucky or have no gear on. I told a guy he was really **** after a terrible Collectors game, 10 mins later I had calmed down, felt guilty and said sorry.

Hatemail. Lots of it.

Now I miss that old hatemail thread.  Wonder if that beast is still buried in here somewhere.

Coming from the guy who is allergic to games-in-progress and runs at the first sign of geth lobbies... Image IPB (Image IPB).

There are many reasons why people leave. I thought I was paranoid... But there are any number of reasons why people leave, like maybe they need to go to the toilet or they got called away to dinner even though they thought that they may have had time for one more quickie.

Don't be so sensitive (I know that's hypocritical coming from me!).

'Butthurt' is something I don't really hear about. Must be some hetero male thing.

I cannot tell you how many times I thought I had time for one more game before the dinner bell. *sigh*

As far as "butthurt", possibly. I see that a LOT on college (American) football boards. LOL I'm sure the origin is much more sinister by nature, but I always chuckle thinking about it as a swift kick to the buttocks. LOL

Well, yeah, obviously we're too polite to describe exactly what it means (taboos and all that). But it's also a cultural thing. Buttocks are also more cushioned than other parts of the body I've been beaten on.

In any case; 'butthurt' is a lame, uncivilised insult. Image IPB

That's rather the point. "Butthurt" describes someone who is ticked off in a lame uncivilized manner, often over something trivial and stupid.

The irony being that you managed to describe that in a civilised way.

Actually I realise that it's not how the person is ticked-off/annoyed; it's the way in which they're described. It's the description that is lame and uncivilised. Image IPB

People sent you hatemail? Sometimes I'm so bored, I end up just lobby hopping and never even got a message for leaving.

I do not understand why anyone would be upset enough with a game to send hate mail. It does make me wonder at times though why some people only play one game and leave, it is frustrating because then you have to wait till the lobby fills up again, most of the time I find myself starting lobbies by myself because it takes forever for lobbies to fill up. Unless you want to be on top of the leader board all the time than I do not understand why you would leave a lobby with another good player who understands the game mechanics. I AM NOT ACCUSING ANYONE OF THIS. But I say it because I am guilty of it and leaving games when I get outscored.

I am drunk so that is my opinion

I agree with your drunken logic because I am drunk too! Two drunk people must be right!

But you make a lot of sense.

In any case, I often leave after only playing one game in any one particular lobby. I don't stick around unless I'm with friends (very rarely because I don't have many to begin with). But I might need to go to the toilet, grab a drink, empty the dishwasher... You name it.

Well you touched upon my favorite irony over the word in that it is often the person describing someone as "butthurt" who is the "butthurtiest" of them all.  Language is funny stuff.  :P
