(Rogue)My Warden Ashyri she was very devoted to helping everyone she possibly could, she also knew when to dish out the snarky attitude if a person was being a complete idiot, and in the end she became very devoted to alistair when she married him at the end.

(Mage) My Hawke was very easy-going overall, finding something funny in every situation, though he deeply cared about his companions and would do anything to protect them, Anders betrayal broke him his spirit knowing that Anders had lit the spark and with regret he put him out of his misery and finally released him from Justice/Vengeance, though the ever serious Fenris was there to comfort him during that dire period.

I'd imagine if my Warden and Hawke met, Ashyri would find it hard at first to get along with him but Hawke's snarky attitude would probably remind her of Alistair so she'd get along in the end, and she'd probably snark back, In my own headcanon, Hawke would be a good foil to my Warden

As for my Inquisitor, my primary playthrough he will be a Mage and Human Male, hopefully I can make him out to try and do good by everyone, but if the situation demands it he will reach compromises in order to ensure the Inquisitors might and superiority.

At least in my main "canon" storyline, all my characters generally try to be good people and avoid being jerks.

My Surana Warden, however, ultimately sought to make the realm a better place and make certain choices that, while controversial (like hardening Alistair to marry Anora despite sparing Loghain), worked towards his personal vision of a better world. He was also very dedicated to the Warden cause, which influenced things like his rejection of Morrigan's Dark Ritual...

Head-canon quote: "I will not be responsible for an eighth Blight!"

My rogue Hawke, meanwhile, while he did try to help the world around him, was much smaller scale in his vision, trying his utmost to help out his family and friends as much as possible. He mainly supported the mages because he was projecting his protectiveness of his sister onto them. When Anders blew up the Chantry, Hawke completely flipped out and killed him before rushing to get Bethany out of the city.

Head-canon quote: (repeatedly stabbing Anders before he can speak) "No words! No victory! No martyrdom! No redemption! I should have killed you years ago!"

I have no idea what my Inquisitor will end up being like, but I imagine he'll probably be relatively close to my Warden in personality, though with less extreme views on certain issues.

Some of my Wardens were more like my character in Dragon Age II (which I only played the once) than others, but the one who I carry on as having existed through the other games is quite different.

Zemariel Tabris was a friendly, chatty sort of person who was always trying as hard as he could to do the right thing and save the land (even if he ended up screwing up fairly majorly on that at times; he wasn't great at figuring out how to do the right thing). He got along with nearly everyone in the group (Oghren was the exception), and was a bit of a coward at times -- he did the Dark Ritual only because he couldn't face letting someone else sacrifice themself and was too scared of it himself. He was also a bit too optimistic about seeing the good in everyone. He was also a dual-wielding rogue, although he was better at the duel-wielding part than the rogue part.

Thanatos Hawke on the other hand was a withdrawn, brusque individual who only did any of the things he did to save his own skin and that of the few people he actually cared about (his family, Fenris, Varric, and Aveline -- in that order). He failed miserably on the first part of that, which made him even more ill-tempered. He was rather cynical about people, particularly mages, and really didn't have a problem with Kirkwall being mostly burned -- he felt it was full of fools and cowards and ought to burn to the ground. It was, really, the last place he wanted to be by about halfway through the game, and if the option to skip town with the few people he didn't hate had been there, he would've taken it. He was also a warrior who used sword and shield. Oh, and he essentially killed two of Zemariel's friends in one go (Anders and Justice), so the two really wouldn't get along. They're definitely on opposite sides of the whole Mage/Templar thing.

As for the new character, I don't know. I'm hoping that this time I'll be able to play the kind of female character I initially wanted to play in Dragon Age II, but I won't know that until I see the character creation and know what the voice is like. My general plan is that she will be an elf warrior, probably using two-handed swords, who falls more towards either the duty-oriented side of things or the freedom-fighting side of things, depending on how things develop. I doubt she'll really care about either mages or templars, but we'll see. I don't like to decide too much about my characters before I start playing them, though -- it's more fun for me to develop them as I go and see what happens.

Like a lot of other people, all my characters end up being goody-two-shoes. The main difference between my Warden (HN) and Hawke, is that my Warden was more clued-in to the things that had to be done for duty or the greater good. Poor Hawke was kind of swept up in it all and no doubt would have ended up as a bloodstain in Lowtown if it wasn't for her friends. I'm hoping to make my Inquisitor clever, switched on, while still retaining a gooey centre.

My Grey Warden is a merciless human warrior sex tornado, and overall bad guy who learns his lesson after he loses Alistair in favor of Loghain. He straightens up and deals with the Architect in a much more reasonable light than normal, he ends up with a lot of regret, though he gets some closure after reuniting with Morrigan. My Hawke however is a much happier and easygoing person she loves money (being a rouge does that) and she only wants money, though initially she agrees with the Templars she later supports the Mages for both Bethany and Merrill's sake. As for my planned Inquisitor I'd like to make a Qunari Mage who just wants to see peace so that the world can focus on fixing the veil tears, he will be as pragmatic and neutral as I can make him though I will probably lean more towards the mages side if things get unpleasant.

My canon warden is a dead dwarf commoner. She was ruthless with those who were cruel, hated oppression, and supported her sister's babydaddy. She was kind of snarky and didn't really care that much about crazy surfacer things. She sacrificed herself at the end of Origins, since she had a dwarf's distrust of jiggly hand puffy demon magic stuff. She was a two-handed sword warrior. Total bromance with Zev, though she fell hard for Alistair.

Then I had an Orlesian Warden who did the DLC. She was all about doing whatever it takes to keep the most people safe, even if it was the moral equivalent of gassing kittens to help others. She did wind up siding with the architect and saving the keep. Human arcane warrior tank who spent most of the game being BFFs with Nathaniel Howe.

I really hope save import lets me hook those two together somehow, since I was rather fond of both wardens.

And then Hawke's probably my favorite of the lot. Angharad Hawke was a shield and sword warrior who was always thrusting herself between Kirkwall's citzens and danger. Probably the most squeaky clean of the brigade, she did whatever she could to keep order and protect people. Aveline and her were beeeeest friends. She grew more bitter over the years, resorting to black humor later on when she couldn't resolve a situation. Angie was a tank personified. She did wind up siding with the Templars, to protect the majority of people, and killing Anders... Her save import is hooked to the Orlesian's. It'll be interesting.

I will probably wind up rolling with the spirit of the law -- I tend to default to that in games, so it's a good bet my first Inquisitor will. Annnnnd she'll probably be a dwarf. I might try to make her a bit more brutal, but I need to see the start of the game and putz a bit before I get a solid feel.

I will note my 'canon' playthrough line is all girls, all the time, and all tanks, which rather influences the personalities, Oh well. I do deviate from the formula on other characters,

Given that each sort of picks up from where the other leaves off, are they the same personality wise (good warden leads to good Hawke and now good inquisitor), or do you throw in someone who would be antagonistic to the previous hero?

Usually my first PTs are goody goody types. My first Warden choose all the seemingly nice things (since that is hard to call in DA sometimes) and my first Hawke was a diplomatic Hawke.

My last and "canon" PT was a "make things interesting for Inquisition PT) so it was a pro-Circle/anti-blood magic Surana desperate for parental figure type that followed the authority of the Circle and believed in second chances for everyone (the authority figure thing was a motivation for her to break up with Alistair after Wynne's Talk and the second chances fueled my desire to spare Loghain on the OFF OFF OFF chance that he might show up in Orlais for my Inquisition PT). My Hawke was a sarcastic Pro-CIRCLE mage that funneled wayward mages back to the Circle (never killing any) and trying to protect and uphold all that Templar Order nonsense because on the off chance that Cullen was gonna be around for Inquisition I wanted him to be able to say that Hawke was a "good" mage and helped him come to understand blah blah blah.

Like I said, the "Inquisition" PT was all about that. Making choices that would build interesting dynamics for Inquisition. So ANYTHING that had any type of outcome for Orlais or the rumored "Cullen is a companion" got the green light for that PT.

My warden is a bitter fellow with the one tracked mind for revenge upon Howe, while all the while trying to be on good grounds with everyone. Hawke is a simple man, although easily annoyed he will be there for his friends, although you mess with his family he will end you, thus his hatred for the Templars for taking Bethany. As for my Inquisitor, well that will have to depend on his origin. We are shaped by our surrondings. So if the Origin is that he was rasied in the Chantry, he may have a sympathetic view for the Chantry. If he is just a simple farmer and faith put him there his opinions will be forged throughout the game. But he will lean on the side of the mages regardless of origin. He will try to find peace where he can, but will meet agression with agression. But in the end, his loyaties with be forged as the game plays, depending on how each group acts if they match his morals and goals.

The Warden was what Mass Effect would consider a Paragon to the fullest. Hawke would still fit into the Paragon category, but I took many of the more aggressive dialogue options. I intend to play the Inquisitor as more of an expansionist, victory-at-any-cost kind of individual.

Mass Effect terminology used for the sake of simplicity
