A lurker's still a BSN'er IMO.

They still have access to the same info, ideas and discussions that we do after all, and they're still likely to equip an alternate banner in the N7HQ, they just listen without replying.

I lurked for around a year before posting, for more or less the reasons Cato described, despite the fact I'm a mediocre scrub.

If you are mediocre then what does that make me?

They'd be recognised in a game lobby by the use of an alternate banner, since those banners can only be accessed by using the N7HQ, which is a BSN thing.

I've met a few meself, some of them ended up on my x-box friends list.

Just use stasis + Paladin/Carnifex/Executioner with the scoope and you can get that medal not once, but twice specially vs cerberus. Tons of points, fast waves because phantoms and nemesis deaths boost up the game a lot...it's quite interesting. Nice way to improve your Adepts and Vanguards N7 doing that trick too. Any gold cerberus match is a piece of cake, even platinum games are quite funny too.

Nope. But it's enough to make you aware of the possibility that your team-mate might be a lurker.

If they remove their rocket launcher using the heavy melee at the start of the game, then that's also a clue. 

EDIT: and talking of using stasis to get head-shot's, try the arc pistol on the stasis kits.

Using a weapon with a low TTK, perhaps?

Although, in all seriousness, I find that my performance heavily depends of the map being played and, to a lesser degree, the enemy being faced. There's something about a human enemy that just allows me to off them more efficiently. Probably the fact that I always know where the head is.

I've done it a few times, but only on kits that completely immobilize an enemy and allow me to shoot from kissing distance.

I didn't phrase that well, I guess - I meant to include all lurkers as likely being better than average too, you don't need to post here to pick up good information.

I was asking myself the same question. From the responses in this thread I assume that it must be much more difficult to do this with a gamepad. On PC with mouse/keyboard it is nothing to write home about, happens all the time.

Exactly, I sure as rain get it by the first half. Certainly "PUGs" can get it by the end of 11 rounds?

Edit: And that's without resorting to cheap tactics or sniper rifles.

Cato, you leave me no choice but to end my silence - that is an unfounded rumour.

And hi to Simba (thanks for starting the thread that drew me out), wng, dida, limbs, Kany and all my BSN friends who haven't posted on this thread yet.

OT: While I don't pay enough attention to notice any 20 HS medals, I have encountered my fair share of good pugs, who may or may not be BSNers.

I see a lot of people sniping on Dagger.  It's a sniper map so that's not all that awesome.  Now, if it was on Glacier  I might be impressed.

I told him to leave the lobby if he wasn't going to help with objectives so he wasn't there for the glacier match
