In my opinion, that portion of Thedas' map seen during DAI's loading screen isn't all of DAI's map.
I believe that it represents something like the current area of influence occupied by the Inquisition. For example, when you start moving from one area to another, the "area of influence" would have its limits near both areas, and that would occupy your loading screens in the beginning. As you progress, it would grow larger.
Do you think so as well, or not?

its a loading screen? and your basing what the map will look like on a loading screen....
honestly they could put anything there including Hello Kitty pictuers... so I'm not going to assume that at all.
Also what you are basicly discribing is the Civ5 Map style

More of my speculations (if anyone's interested)
One of the reasons I support this theory is because, well, because of a concept art that hinted at the return of the Brecilian Forest. On the DAI map shown at the video, you can't see the forest, since it's obscured.
Also, in the same video, near the beginning, it was stated that the main rip in the Veil caused several anomalies. I'd expect a lot of them to be in areas where the Veil is thin. Some of these areas are not represented on the loading screen: The Blackmarsh, and Tevinter. (especially with its magisters always using blood magic. Also, I didn't mention Kirkwall among these areas because it is being shown. Check the map of Thedas.)

You mean this.

And then there's these from the dev diary.

I don't really think either map is the current DAI world map though I do think the shadows are places we haven't gone to yet, and that people are putting a little to much stock in them. Especially since they still haven't officially confirmed any nation's besides Fereldan and Orliais and hinted at a few others like the Free Marches, Tevinter and Neverra nor have they said exactly how the travel mechanics are going to work and that there's no big seamless world map.

My guess, unless we see differently, is that the map we see in the loading screen is meant to encompass all the areas we can go to. I don't think the cloudy edges represent "fog of war", just the boundary of the map. The map looks complete to me, especially given the fact all Bioware's been saying lately is that the game takes place, "... from eastern Ferelden to western Orlais."

It makes since for it to be the areas we will see in the game. I mean, DA:O did the same thing with Ferelden.
