I think we should publish our list of "BSN users to ignore" soon, just to save people some headaches.

I don't know how well your english is, but that little "s" at the end of "users" means it's plural.  As in more than one.  But, yes, you certainly are one.

Yep and you were one who called me a troll before as well revan. It is rather obvious it was towards me (after my post) so well...

Yeah, Eamon didn't know. Isolde feared that Eamon would've sent his son to the Circle. Which he did, and would've likely done before his illness.

That fear alone cost many people their lives. She deserve to be sent to Aeonar for what she did to her city.

So... Leandra and Malcolm Hawke should go there, too, then, right?  They also kept one (or two) mage children out of the Circle.

Sure, Bethany (and Marian) never abominate, but how could their parents know that?  If a ten-year old Bethany were given the option to sacrifice herself to save her parents, or her twin brother, had such a situation arisen, are you 110% positive she would have said "No"?

I'm not.

The Hawke family and Isolde Guerrin both gambled.  One lost.  Does that make the more fortunate family "right" and the less fortunate one "wrong"?  Or are they both right (and one was unlucky) or are they both wrong?

Well Malcolm had Circle training so I'm sure that he could teach Bethany the dangers of being a mage and demonic temptation. Isolde didn't know the first thing about being a mage, that's why she hired a 'tutor' for Connor.

Well merril had as well traning and even knowledge about demons (i would say much better than circle mages) and blood magic still yet how it ended when she was dealing with demon twice? She wasn't only possesed because she had plot armor.

Another example is anders who had trening as well how he ended?

Maybe mindset then?

Malcom was all about "Magic will do what is best for me, not what is most base" and seemed to only use magic when it was called for (remember he even used Blood Magic when his wife and unborn son were in danger)

Merrill, IMO, viewed magic, even Blood Magic, and dealing with demons as dangerous tools that could further your cause if you treated it with the caution it deserved.

Anders: "All I want is a pretty girl, a nice meal, and the right to shoot lightning at fools."

I would say that when you deal with demon you need cosmical willpower to resist hawke had it our companions not pretty much that is shown in fade when every your companion end manipulated by demon mages are humans which mean they are flawed and why they are screwd.Another matter is that demon know our weakness and have some kind mind control i can at least judge by what they did with companions in fade.

Somehow i always seen bethany as weak (not in terms of power only personality) i wonder how she wasn't demon victim.

Malcolm i can guess he had willpower as hawke had and he was one of this rare competent mages.

As much as people call Merrill an idiot, she was actually one of the wisest characters in the lore so far about dealing with demons. Yes, she worked with Audacity, but she says that she never trusted him. That's how demons get to you, and she was able to resist the attempts by a Pride Demon, the strongest of all the demon classes. And whenever it came time where she had no choice but to trust Audacity, she takes precautions such as having Hawke assume the role of Templar and kill her if she became possessed.

When?  I remember the Pride Demon in the fade during Feynriel's Dreams got her to backstab me pretty fast.

i call her idiot because she is but let it be...
Yes she had bigger knowledge about demons than most companions/mages but it doesn't matter she wasn't able to us it.I don't know in what game you played but merril ended as plaything for pride demon twice first when pirde demon successfully turned her against hawke in fade (yeah traning to ressist demon my ass) , second she ended doing exactly what second pride demon wanted from the beginning. So yes despite all knowledge about demons she was stupid enough to ignore that as well like not knowing that everything we do have impact on others until her keeper ended as snack for demon (everyone keep telling her that) sure she would don't care i can understand that but she didn't know it...

conclusion merril despite her knowledge wasn't able ressist demon and she is danger for entire environment around her.

*clapping* Aveline you were right about merril.

With the exception of Anders, aren't all of the companions susceptible?

Yes but are they mages? they didn't even had any trening and merril did it despite her traning demon temptation isn't problem for non-mage.Shows that non-mages are no match for demon but as well mages aren't...

Yes, the Desire Demon tempts Isabela and Aveline and the Pride Demon tempts Fenris, Merrill, and Varric.

Hawke could also be tempted by the Sloth Demon to betray Feynriel.

Sebastian wants nothing to do with the Fade and Anders is already possessed.

Aveline is tempted with being reunited with Wesley

Varric is tempted with something about revenge on his brother or something.

Anders is lost with the sloth demon or never even attempted at all.

Fenris is tempted with the power to get revenge on TEvinter or something.  It's something power.

Merril is tempted with the powre to bring her people forward or something.

Isabella is tempted with her boats.

I think that's all of our companions.

Of course that brings up is it because our companions are incompetent or was it another poor attempt at black, black, black, no room for grey or white.

I think they mean during her attempts to fix the Mirror, which even then, she was playing right into it's hands. Almost everyone in DA ][ was stupid though to be honest, and the Veil is especially thin in Kirkwall anyway. Demons have much more influence.

Also doesn't that Sloth Demon in the Fade say that the Desire and Pride Demon who could get our companions to betray us were especially powerful? Maybe that factored into nearly everyone turing of Hawke.

I will agree that Kirkwall's Veil was probably shot to hell pretty much, never mind before the Last Straw.

I'm not sure.  I haven't played DA2 in months.  I just....cannot play through that combat.

Wait, what? The Pride and Desire demon? Caress and Wyrme? I'm assuming that since they were vying for a Dreamer's mind, they might have been on the upper tiers of the demon hierarchy.

He does say that, yes. I always thought they were especially powerful because they had begun to feed off of Feynriel, a dreamer. In both cases you already see him in the same situation Sloth put the Warden and allies into during the Broken Circle quest.

I mean I'm pretty sure that Sloth Demon said they were powerful, that's why it wanted Hawke's help to get it ahead in the Demon Hierarchy, right?

Well that sort of ties into what we know of the demon hierarchy. The basic assumption that demons of desire and pride tend to be much stronger than the lower ones like hunger and rage.

Anders turns on you if you make a deal with the Sloth demon for Fenyreil(sp?) and breaks up with you if you are in a relationship.

If I remember correctly Sloth Demons are about in the middle but are lazy and perfer easy pray. Don't quote me on this though.

But actually gains friendship points if you explain that you had no intention of making a deal at all, and was simply using its knowledge with every intention of betraying it.
