Is there even a comrade that is xenophobic in the game......there should be. It's not like everyone is equal thinking. Even Cerberus claims they aren't, they just think humans should survive.

Never killed Ash myself. Her and Wrex were the only ME1 characters I really got into. Thinking about doing a run where I virmire Ash and romance Liara though, see if the other characters grow on me.

Yes. Saving kaidan is the only option for someone that deserved to be called a commander.

I usually do, just because it seems to make more sense. Kaidan had the knowhow to arm the bomb, so he had to be there, then we had to go back to defend it and make sure it went off. Tactically it makes the most sense (even though you can technically make either of them do either job).

Only once, and I regretted that decision in ME2. The biotic "commander" didn't act like a real commander, and acted like a certain KOTOR character that I absolutely despise and wanted to kill or leave the whiner for dead. After that screw-up, all the time, I save Ashley, mostly its because I don't like any damn whiners in my ship.

Sure, Ashley is xenophobic, and could be considered an a-hole, but at least she is better than a complaining soldier in KOTOR. Way better.

Since when the heck is it implied Ash is Xenophobic? She get's on well with the whole squad if you listen to her elevator conversations, especially with Tali and Kaidan.  She did'nt trust Liara at first becuase of Benezia, and she did'nt hate her she just seen her as a competition for Shepard, so how she acted around Liara is natural. Wrex is a Krogan, that say's it all realy, he is only on the mission becuase he want's to be where the action is and to kill thing's, i think it is understandable she would be a little suspicious about Wrex. Garrus is a Turian, due to Shanxi, and the fact they are after a rouge Turian Spectre i think her mistrust in Garrus is understandable. She trust's Tali fine.

''I cant tell the aliens from the animals'' People who say this is Xenophobic, how? Do you not think the Hanar look like Jellyfish? Dont you think Krogan look part duck part turtle? Dont you think the Drell have fish faces? I recall everyone thinking Thane was a fish. Dont you think it look's like Asari have tentacles on there heads? Dont you think the Elcor look like rino/elephant?  Dont you think that the Turians face's look like birds? If you think Ash is xenophobic by what she said, and yet you think any of this then you are xenophobic by your own logic. Ash is just saying what we are thinking, she is the most human of the squad. Dosent it say something about human's how any of you can hate someone who represents what we think?

Tactically it makes more sense to save Kaidan, BUT brining the Normandy down near a armed nuke is very risky so it might not be the best choice. Ash has a bigger family so i think a commander with more compasion would save her also. But they are both fine choices with pro's and cons on why and why not  to rescue them.

Also i wish people would stop saying they killed Ash or Kaidan, i am sure the sacrificed themselves for the greater good of the mission, you did'nt see any of the other squad mates put there hands up to sacrifice themselves.

Once, so that I could create a single Shepard.

To all the people saying she's xenophobic, you need to learn about the difference between nationalism and xenophobia.

The whole Virmire thing did'nt make sense anyway, why Ash and Kaidan? Would'nt Tali arming the nuke make more sense? She is the best tech. Why not Wrex or Garrus going with the Salarians? Wrex is a Krogan and a battlemaster too, he can soak up ton's of damage, he could handle the Geth quickly and he may escape in time (there are escape pods) if he can kill the Geth quick enough while the Normandy picks up Tali he may get out in time . This gives a more likley chance at everyone getting out alive.

Umm why? Shouldn't saving the salarian STG team matter?

Never killed Ash. Not with a male Shep and not with a female Shep. I like her too much and couldn't really get into the character of Kaidan. (Guess I should try to kill her in another playthrough to see how the game develops with Kaidan).

Only problem I had when I first played the game as male Shep was, that I wanted to romance Ash but for some reason ended up with Liara. On my second playthroughI I was more harsh towards Liara to end up with Ash.

Totally relevant post: I just keeled her with a Femshep yesterday. Aheh.

I'll probably do a Sentinel playthrough later this year where I guess I'll finally have a reason to kill off Kaidan, but so far, it just never made any sense combatwise to keep Ash alive.

I save him ALL the time, he is my FAVORITE squad mate (little bother type), and with Kaiden & Liara for Ilos & the Battle of the Cidedel they make SHORT work of Saren (LIFT is fantastic!).

And IF you want EMOTION + a heavy duty FIGHT, send Kaiden to the bomb, KILL ASH, go BACK and SAVE Kaiden! It WILL make for a '"story line error" but it IS only a GAME. (Some change to ME2, but only WHO is saying the lines).

Basically did any male sheps kill Ashley rather than Kaidan? I wonder what happens, I might try it.

Immunity!! You do know that make's Ash invincible? And it's cooldown is so quick that by the time immunity has been finished Ash can use it again. That makes's Ash and Wrex the ultimate combo for any tech caracter.

Immunity is like god mode, it's stupid good with the cooldown reductions you can stack over it, meaning some character builds can keep it up constantly. That said, it's really doesn't sell her as a great option to me because all she's got is weapon damage.

For an engineer or sentinel, I'd still rather have Wrex as the combat expert and Liara or Alenko as an additional specialist for talent redundancy.

It's actually a challenge to make myself kill Kaidan in any of my playthoughs, the only reason I do is for the variety.

I had to. She wouldn't stop trying to rape me.

I swear, you say one nice thing, try to be the nice guy, and she wants to "blow your mind". It sucks too, while she did annoy me with her racism, I found her bad ass as well. While sad, her pulling an Alamo at Virmire seemed her style to me. In my ME universe, Ash is kicking ass and chewing bubble gum in the afterlife.
