I allways killed her off, main reason for that was that i found her to be....racist (Right trem?) to my non-human squad mates and she was a jerk lol

Killed her off, all gals that end up disturbing the first lady of Normandy, always end up dead. Unfortunately the first first lady might get onto the list in ME3, to join Jack and Ashley.

1) I get awfully goddamned tired of being forced into a pseudo-relationship with her.

Well, I'm a girl and I usually play as a female Shepard. But I have to admit, I quite like Ash =3 On the other hand, I get your point. It's really annoying when I just talk to Kaidan and Liara (and I'm not even being super nice) and both of them ask me if I am in some kind of romantic relationship with the other one:pinched:

But yeah, I like Ash. So I usually leave Kaidan behind....:?

It's worse when dealing with Ashley. You say a few nice things that have no sexual or relationship vibe to them, and suddenly she's talking about how crazy she'll be for you in bed. It's really, really annoying, and they don't give Shepard any chance to turn it down. One choice is even something along the lines of Paragon: I'll wait for you =), Neutral: (I forgot, but I'm quite positive it doesn't give you a chance to turn her down), Renegade: I can't wait that long ;)"

EDIT: Reading around, you literally have to take a few Renegade options along the line to turn her down, which is a load of bull if you ask me.

My husband kills her everytime he plays. He's says she reminds him of my mother. I do agree w/ his assumption for the most part.

Ash gets nuked everytime in my playthroughs, beacause I romanced Liara or I romanced no one in ME1 so I can hit on a LI in ME2. I dislike Ash because of her poetry, xenophobia, all my Shepards are kind to aliens. I have other reasons
-She might mess up my Liara romance, since she is jealous of Liara, I nuke her to let my romance with Liara to go well.Image IPB
-She might become my LI when I plan to romance a ME2 LI but I know how to avoid her, pick Renegade or don't talk to her alot or hate her poetry.
-She can kill Wrex. I never had her kill Wrex but still, she dies in my playthroughs.
-Kaidan has biotics, while all my Sheps are just infiltrators and soldiers. So, I don't really need Ashley when I am a soldier or even a infiltrator.
-She is too annoying IMO because of her talks about aliens, just because of the Krogan's violent nature, Shanxi, the Council, the Geth, the first contact war etc. she thinks aliens are unreliable but they helped humans in building the SR1 and building their community. If you ask me, she had her death coming. To me, Liara was more smoking attractive.Image IPB
Just voicing my opinions.

I do mostly, I planned on buying ME 1 before ME 2 got them one day apart, that was pretty hellish, anyhow I went in knowing what was going to happen on Virmire, I was going to pick Kaiden as I liked his character more, then I got to know Ashley I still let her die but damnit it was a lot tougher to choose then I expected.

omg, Ashley!<_<  OK.... Now I can totally understand why she gets virmired in your game... I'm not sure if it's like this with Kaidan, as I don't often talk to him but you can at least tell Liara that you don't like her in that way. I plan on playing a male Shep soon, so maybe this will be the time to leave Ash on Virmire:o

Once my motherboard/GPU are repaired/replaced (they are currently out for RMA), I'd actually planned on playing my first Femshep. I'd be interested to know what you think about the whole Ashley w/ Male once you've tried it, from a girl's perspective.

Actually, not quite right question, nobody killed Ashley.

I don't chose Ashley, because the character Kaidan, seemed to me more interesting.

He spoke little about yourself, but the doctor Chakwas said that he have a military awards for his services.

Selecting him on Virmaere and practical, with some part: I always picked him in the squad in ME.

Character Sentinel was necessary in my squad.

At ME2 class Sentinel became more militant, and I hope Kaidan will ME3 in my squad.

I usually save Ashley.

Not sure why you guys say you kill off Ashley/Kaidan. Last time I checked Saren was responsible for their death on Virmire. For those of you who actually plan to kill off a either Ashley/Kaidan... I mean wow really? I understand liking one more then the other, but hating one character so much you enjoy seeing them die? You realize this character has been totally loyal to you and trusts/respect your authority as Cmdr. Shepard? Yet you actually plot to kill them off...

That's pretty low. I mean sure it's just a game, but jeez. I mean I don't like Jack in ME2 but I don't go out of my way to kill her.

Frankly I like both Ashley and Kaidan. In fact I probably like Kaidan a bit more since he's a pretty cool and relaxed guy. I also tend to agree with his general political outlook. That said I also like Ashley for her down-to-earth honest attitude. I really don't see Ashley as Xenophobic/Racist either. She just doesn't fully trust aliens which is completely understandable given her family's past. (Let's be realistic here, do you really think after just 25 years of being in contact with alien life that every human, including yourself, would embrace them openly? I doubt it.)

Now for why I choose to save Ashley over Kaidan I'll explain. Typically I tend to play as a Soldier so really saving Kaidan would be in my best interests due his Biotic/Tech. However Ashley tends to be much more durable which is just about as important. So in this regard they are about equal. Character is a bit different though. Kaidan seems much more at peace with himself. I believe Kaidan is actually prepared to accept the responsibility that entails being a soldier. Ashley on the other hand seems to have a lot yet to live for and a family that depends on her. I don't feel right letting Ashley martyr herself on purpose for the sake of the mission. I prefer to save Ashley because she has a lot yet to still learn, where as Kaidan seems like much more of an adult.

I usually saved Ash. Though it was a hard choice mind you they both sort of annoyed me with their problems. Truth be told Kaiden was chosen usually because he was either no use to me (due to the fact my mains usually filled the similar role of a Sentinel) or because of memories of the days of the whining of Carth Onasi in KotOR and how much I disliked him. ;)

Always made sure to place Kaiden right next to that bomb - satisfying.

My second male Shepard which I built only for romancing Tali - and therefore had no romances in ME1 - killed Ashley

In my first playthrough (with a female shepard, infiltrator class) I did'nt really see the good of biotics so I decided to save Ashley as I saw her as a better asset. But in more recent playthroughs I have come to rely more on Kaidan so after that first time I've never left him behind.
