Strangely enough.. i always kill Kaiden...Hate that guy. But! Ashley is not any better...

I did almost every time. Ash says Kaiden is needed to arm the nuke, then the Geth send reinforcements to attack the bomb site. A main gun blast hitting that bomb might prevent it from detonating, I don't know: as a player or as Shep. So I always head back. Then Ash dies and I feel bad about losing someone under my command.

I'm fairly certain that the Captain survives reguardless of whom you save, assuming you help out the salarian teams during the assault on the complex.

I intended to make a perfect playthrough without romance, just to go out with the new potential LIs. I never planned on killing Ashley. However, something went wrong and I end up developing a relationship with her. Leaving me no choice, I committed a murder by leaving Ashley on Virmire.

I dont know, I saved her everytime I think once who know the charaecter you feel a bond, plus Carth..I mean Kadien kept grating on me ...dunno why i said carth ..lol..maybe repressed Kotor rage, lol

I virmire'd her once so I could have a single Shepard for ME 2. I felt dirty afterwards somehow.

I certainly would have had I been able to play a Male Shepard. My first planned character (who just did not suit the voice, so I didn't play him) would have disliked Ashley quite intensely, and likely jumped at any chance to be rid of her (by any means).

i left her.......got close to romancing her but she was blah, so was Liara. I wonder what Mass Effect 2 will be like since i didn't romance anyone =) no awkward moments when ME1 and ME2 Chick meet LMAO Got my eyes on SuZe i like it rough lol

Every time but one.

My first play through, I figured I'd go save Kaidan, then turn around and grab Ashley and we'd all go back to the Normandy for punch and pie. I was genuinely suprised when Ashley died. I didn't regret choosing Kaidan over her though.

for my male sheps, only 2, it's split down the middle, one save Ash, the other saved Kaiden, my femshep saved Kaiden, but that's not what this thread is about

no it  only works if you save kaidan

I let her die once, felt really bad afterwards. I don't have anything against Kaidan but I'm not going to join a fire fight right next to a nuke, that's just not healthy.

Apart from the one time I tried her romance instead of Liara's I always leave her on Virmire. Without romance in the way it's a purely logical decision, Kaidans an officer, a biotic and a tech specialist, all of which make him far more valuable to the Alliance in terms of training costs than a garrison soldier like Ashley.

Nope the Captain only survives if you do all the sidemission, radar, fueling sites, alarms on base ect ect, and then you have to go and save the team

exactly anyone smart enough would see kaiden is worth 10 ashleys, regardless of romance kaiden is the higher rank, ash is just a easily replaced crewman

 I did on one of my Shep's so he wouldn't be "cheating" when he made hawt greasy love to Subject Zero :happy: I still feel like a Butt Munch for killing her off though
