To be honest, I based my Virmire choice off of class. I found Wrex plus Kaidan with my Infilitrator made a good team. I found Ashley's soldier class to not really be all that useful.

Ashely was virmire'd in all but one of my saves, and that was because I wanted my renegade male shep to see what happens to her in ME2.



Truthfully, I can't stand that racist zealot.

Gunny Williams was left guarding the bomb while Lt. Alenko was at an air defence tower with a the entire Salarian team.



My understanding at the time was that i had a choice between saving an NCO and maybe one member of the Normandy landing party (the dude that stands there) or a biotic officer and six or seven Salarian infiltrators.



Emotion can't come into it, there's a reason Williams gets ticked if you save her, she reminds you that Alenko outranked her (although she doesn't mention the Salarians). Alenko and his team were just much more valuable than one marine with a rifle.



If i did let emotion come into it though i would have started to think about William's family, her sisters, and i'm sure that keeps Shepard up at night. By God i like to think Shepard was able to say the euology at that funeral, mix in a little poetry and pinned the star of terra to her next of kin. At least the alliance will at last know what a Williams can do.

I killed off Ashley every time whether I was Maleshep or Femshep. I didn't dislike her...I just liked Kaidan better besides he and Liara were my favorite team. I never used Ash much except right at the beginning.

Its half and half with me. Except I havent been able to get my male Shep playthrough off of feros yet. But sometimes shes alive with my femShep playthroughs, sometimes not. I want to see the differences in ME2 with her family when shes alive and dead.

Well, my first playthrough on my femshep.. there was just a connection with Ashely as she told about her family and stuff. Felt like I really knew her. I told her to open her mind.



Kaiden just stayed whiney. He got killed. My FemShep romanced Liara.



On my second playthrough on my renegade hardass MaleShep who hates politicians and aliens just like Ashely does, well, they have a nice strong connection so I doubt I'd kill her in this one either.



Besides, in my second playthrough, I have both Kaiden and Ashely on my team, and Kaiden gets killed so easily. He just runs up and gets shot. If you tell him to take cover, he doesn't listen. Ashely though.. she's good.

Ashley doesn't hate aliens. She isn't racist. She isn't a xenophobe.

Im just getting to that part of the game and am pretty certain that ash is gonna end up being sacrificed(i buggered up the romance option with her somehow aswell which made the choice easier), then again ive stripped both ash and kaiden of all the good gear i used when i got there achievements now so im honestly not to sure who to pick atm as neither is gonna be used again during this playthrough.

Oh I enjoy watching her turn to dust every single damn time. I hate everything about her. The moment i saw her I hated her. I wish I knew why  but she just rubs me the wrong way. Sad really but watching her get blown to bits never fails to make me smile.

I killed her because on my femshep playthroughs as a paragon she was always complaining about the aliens, Oh you let them on the ship do you think thats wise? Oh you let the Rachi Queen go, do you think that's wise? Shut the **** up dammit and stop questioning me!!!

Just couldn't stand her and am glad to be rid of her.

Oh and the way she says Ma'am when you say dismissed chief, like she's better then me, stupid smug ****.

I enjoyed teasing her about her religion and family on my male shep then led her on and went haha sucked in die biotch!

I did. Liara was my baby and Kaiden was a better subordinate.

I often do. I like Ash, but I like Kaidan more, and I generally find him more useful- Sentinel beats out a Soldier any day of the week, paticularly at higher difficulties. Besides, he's the superior officer: if you save Ashley, she reams you for it, and she's right to do so. In general, though, I prioritize the Nuke or the Salarians depending on my Shep's personality, and that has more influence on what I choose then any other factor. Although, usually Ash goes with the Salarians and Kaiden with the Nuke.



...Why couldn't we have left Tali or Garrus to arm it? (That's a silly thing to say, though, as I liked Garrus and Tali very much. Still... sacrificing one of them to save someone directly under your character's command is tempting.)

I did it for my male shepard - No romance play through. altough on every normal play through car.. i mean kaiden gets blown the *@#$ up.
