I killed her every time. Kaiden seemed a much more interesting character, she annoyed the hell outta me, and having Kaiden with the bomb and saving him seemed the more prudent choice RPwise.

I find it strange that people here are like "Kaidan is always with the Salarians and Ashley is always with the bomb" or visa-versa. It's your decision who is with who. I ALWAYS let whoever was at the bomb site die. Whoever was at the bomb site was already protecting the nuke and had already set it to go off. It was just simple Geth being unloaded from the dropship. I try to make most of my decisions as unbiased as I can in the game, so I was just trying to save as many people as possible. So I guess you can say I always choose to save the Salarians.

The first time, I picked Kaidan to stay with the bomb because he has um... an omni-freaking-too! He's not a tech expert, but he's better than Ash. So Ash was with the Salarians, who I went to save. Really, if I could have I would have sent my other two members back to protect the person at the bomb site. Saren and those Geth didn't stand a chance against me, even on Hardcore. Maybe Insane would have been a different story.

After the first time, I knew what was happening there. So I'd have Ash arm the bomb. It blows up fine either way, so Kaidan's omni-tool didn't mean much. ;-) What I don't understand is why Shepard didn't pick up the person at the bomb site after Saren fled in Sovereign. It's not like it was an urgent matter to destroy the facility ASAP. The only real danger left in the facility was Sovereign, but I'm assuming it left since it didn't follow the Normandy.

Yeah, so I choose to sacrifice Ash now. Her poetry didn't really strike a chord with me, she kinda goes on about her family too much (oh god, more people), and I can see her making me look bad in ME2 or ME3 with some of her views or even flat-out MAKING things bad. And yeah, a romance wasn't gonna happen with us either way. I don't mind tough girls, but she's a bit too religious for me. I found Kaidan more an interesting character as a friend (since that's all Ash would have been, anyway), and he's probably the or one-of-the strongest human biotics. That's something worth protecting, too.

My renegade Shepard did and she was even his LI.  He did it because to Edward Shepard "The Mission ALWAYS comes first, no matter the cost."  Hence why he also has the Ruthless background.

I killed her in all but one of my playthroughs.  The very first time, I kept her since she was the love interest I had chosen.

I've saved Ashley, but only to see what she said. Then I reloaded, and saved Kaiden again. I just can't stand Ashley...

And Liara is any better? Come on...She's an "alleged" prothean expert who locked herself in a prothean barrier bubble (a moronic act in and of itself) and a wuss to boot.  You are intitled to your opinion however.  I just do see why so much hate for Ashley and almost none for Liara....In fact, I'll openly say that I hate Liara.  For, but not limited to, said previous reasons.

I didn't mention Liara cause this thread is about killing Ashley. ;)

For the record, I don't like Liara either. She has the face of a 12 year old(creeeeeepy), and has to go to the medical bay after every mission because she's going to faint. If I could leave her on Vermire to back up Ashley, I would.

I killed her, happily. Her personality just sucked. Plus, she's the one that started this whole mess by activating the beacon. Dumb bimbo.

Actually, the beacon was already "active" when they got there because Saren had just used it if you remember.  It's just that she happened to get into the "tractor" field of it and started getting pulled in.

I did but just because *SPOILER/Speculation* I've got a feeling that SuZe is the Rahna that Kaiden talked about and I want to see if it is via Kaiden's reaction to seeing SuZe.

Only once. And that was because I was going for no LI's and I had kind of let that get out of hand with her.

I did, but I found the choice rather hard. I just thought that saving Kaidan + some other people I won't mention for potential spoilers, was the right course of action.

I did on 1 of my playthroughs. I have a play through for each option. Liara, Ash, Kaidan, Single. So I'm covered.

Actually, didnt Alenko say that Rahna was something like Muslim or Arabic descent?  I could be wrong but if thats the case, that makes SuZe a no-go as Rahna as she is blatantly not the former or the latter?

I really didn't like her at all, she seemed pretty anti-Alien and generally annoying.

To be far I didn't really take the time to get to know either of them, but she seemed much more annoying than him, who seemed like a decent guy.

So she has died every-time I have played the game and I am happy to be rid of her.

Wrex,Tali,Me all the way!

... Not blatantly. For one, Muslims are adherents to a religion, and second... A white person born in Arabia isn't at all far-fetched even today. In the 22nd Century where the entire human population is ethnically less diverse, Jack may very well come from Arabic descent.

I very much doubt she's Rahna, though.  She's also Turkish... But the same stuff above applies.

TURKISH!!! that was it...Thanks for clearing that up.  Anywho, I agree with you, it makes sense.  However, I do stand by my point that SuZe/Rahna probably not the same person.  Else they probably would have made some innuendo toward it already.

someone looks out for human interests a bit and they get nuked...you all should be animal rights activists...aliens are not human....not saying we should hate them but to kill someone off for being a regular human who served her species i find a little wrong*good thing this is a game and no aliens exist*IF it came down to save humanity and kill off the rest of the galaxy or save everyone in the galaxy except for humans which would you choose?

Theres a differnce between serving your species and  being "racist" not that she was a extremist or anything.

It wasn't a quality I really enjoyed about her is all, also the fact that she was kinda annoying.

Also if it came down to humanity or the entire galaxy that in this universe  adds up to a whole lot more lifeforms than humanity, as a human it would be the right thing to do to choose them over us. Its like saving your family or race(white, black etc.), instead of  everyone else which is very greedy. Though questions like that are kinda pointless since that situation is pretty much impossible to be in.

I did every time, happily in fact. I didn't find either romance character to be drastically moving but Ashley's attitude put me with Liara. Oh well. :P Happy burning Ashley, glad I won't be seeing you in ME2 or 3 :D
