A friend of mine did. After romancing her.

...Pretty cold, I'd say.

She's usually my male Love Interest so I normally don't kill her. But in my most recent soldier playthrough I sacrificed her even though she was my maleshep's only love interest to give him sort of a tragedy edge.

Neither of my male Shepards killed her because Kaidan was worthless.

Let her die in almost all my games, male or female. She isn't very useful as a character and she gets on my nerves to begin with. I realize she needs to be "tougher" to be a female soldier but she is just rude and abrasive all the time. Even during her sex scene she has to come off as having attitude. No thanks.

Kaiden meanwhile was a much more useful party member, was easy to get along with, and had some interesting things to say about biotics and their training. Ashley never had much to talk about other than poetry (at least Tennyson is a decent one) and how her sisters beat down their boyfriends.

I killed her, happily. Her personality just sucked. Plus, she's the one that started this whole mess by activating the beacon. Dumb bimbo.

Actually, the beacon was already "active" when they got there because Saren had just used it if you remember.  It's just that she happened to get into the "tractor" field of it and started getting pulled in.

yes you're right, but its still her fault all this happened. If we wouldn't of had to pull her dumb ass out of the beam then we wouldn't of had to deal with the whole 'i hold the key to the protheans past' thing...and we could of just died in peace when the reapers invaded without warning. But NOOOOO, she hadda go and make a whole trilogy happen B)

My male shepherd left her to die. His only regret is he didn't kill her himself.

I killed her off after romancing her in one of my grinding runs with my main, what's even colder was the lack of emotional response BW had Shepard show. Otherwise... my renegade adept is a guy, he didn't romance anybody, and he offed Ash because Kaidan was a better fighter for his gameplay style.

I saved her for teh sex.

Sex with Liara was so much better. She didn't spend half the scene reciting poetry. Liara just got right to the sex.

Pretty sure she had a few fainting headaches and droning apologies first. Also trapped herself with Prothean technology she thought she understood. Then killed her own momma and never bothered to explain to Shepard  "how to kill [her]" :o

I did.  I'd rather have a fairly smart, nice guy than a not-as-smart, *bleep*.

I wasn't really fond of Kaidan. But I hated Ashley. So I killed Ashley on every playthrough except for my Sentinel.

I dunno, I always felt vaguely pedophilic romancing Liara. Sure, she's 80 years older than me. But there was just a vibe to it.

Yeah, Liara really grosses me out. I wish there was an option to have her stay behind on Virmire :P

I don't really see myself as a person to hate characters- I mean, back in BGII, I like Aerie, Jaheria, Anomen, Haer'Dalis, and freakin' Cernd (and I like Ali and Loghead in Dragon Age, too, so mergah!), so I think I'm mostly in the clear. Liara just set off some sort of 'blargh' switch in me, though. I could understand her personality and concerns and I still really disliked her. I would have gladly left her behind, many a time. These days, I always wait till the very end to rescue her... just because I think there's something amusing about being all 'Yeah, totally found out all about the Promie's while you were trapped, including how to speak their language, sucker. (Also, killed your mom.)'

...I'm kinda mean.

I would never kill my Ashley. Never have and never will.

Although it will be hard staying loyal to her in ME2 (Miranda). And if Kelly is a LI and not just a flirt, it will be even harder :(

I killed her, but felt terrible doing so. I didn't want either one to die, but there's definitely no "both live" option.

someone looks out for human interests a bit and they get nuked...you all should be animal rights activists...aliens are not human....not saying we should hate them but to kill someone off for being a regular human who served her species i find a little wrong*good thing this is a game and no aliens exist*IF it came down to save humanity and kill off the rest of the galaxy or save everyone in the galaxy except for humans which would you choose?

The first couple of words of your post made me think you just misunderstood some of the things that Ash said, the whole rest of the paragraph though... well, you and Ash were made for each other. :) As for other species not being human, so what? Seeing other sentient creatures as equals doesn't make you an animal rights activist. I eat meat and love it. Certainly aliens who are intelligent and self-aware are much more than animals, they're equals. And there most certainly are aliens out there, with 100-400 billion stars in our galaxy alone. And millions or billions of galaxies in the universe. And most likely multiple universes. You'd sacrifice all them for such a flawed species as ourselves? And in doing so condemn our species to galactic loneliness and an even greater ego? My mother's the same way. She says to slow down 10 mph below the speed limit in our neighborhood in case we'll hit someone. So it's okay to hit a stranger, but not okay to hit a neighbor.

Anyway, I'm not throwing any insults or anything like that, but you should really give some thought to how much actually separates a family member from a neighbor, a neighbor from a stranger, a stranger from an alien. Is the value of a life *really* how similar it is to you?

Running my character I'm gonna transfer over now, and I plan to kill off ash. I don't want an LI issues in ME2 (and I don't like li'ara... something about loving someone who can outlive you 10 times over bugs me)

Saved Ashley once when I wanted to go through the romance route, otherwise she's always been the one to be sacrificed.
